"and barely have enough time to read up on news events, much less comment on them."

That's okay. Nothing much has changed. Same idiots in the news whining about the same tired stuff as last year....and the year before...and the year before before that, and on and on. As long as they allow liberals out of their playpens and in front of the cameras and mikes, we'll be hearing it. So see, you really aren't missing much.

Sorry bout the USA part.

If at first you don't secede, try, try again...

Her success wasn't in seceding......but in forgetting.

Hey, from what I see around here, in the minds of Texans they are the USA.

I think she wanted to secede from CP though.....

OOO I love Fredericksburg!!!! Have you found the Fredericksburg Herb Garden yet? I highly recommend Altdorf's for eating - the best sweet and sour potatos...and did you get a chance to go to Enchanted Rock?

Richmond is about 40 miles W-SW of Houston - if you look on the map and find Hwy 90A and go east, you will eventually find Rosenberg/Richmond.

If you are looking for other towns around San Antonio to visit, Seguin is a nice place. its about 30 miles east of SA - if you have ever read (or seen the movie) "True Women" that is where that story is based. It used to be called Walnut Grove, but was renamed after Juan Seguin, a prominent Tejano that fought with the Anglos in the Tx Revolution. My family is from there.

We stolled around a long time, then found a little outdoor wine bar with great food and a guitar player. Very cool.

Heh. "True Women". I like that......

Hey, did you read the success they had at The Gathering of Eagles? Sounds like with some better planning it was big time effective. The anti war crowd met its match.

yes, have been reading all the threads - werent they FABULOUS?! I think with a few more showings like that we could do some damage to the so-called peace movement. Stupid hippies. The Eagles were BEAUTIFUL men and women. I just wish I could have joined them. Its a big deal for us to take a weekend just to go to visit relatives in Seguin, much less go out of state. I think I would have been utterly speechless around all those fine veterans. My gratitude for them has no vocabulary.

We have had this itinerary planned for 6 months, and couldn't change direction. It was good to know that when they actually did long term organisation that so many responded. I think Kristinn should be thrilled for a change. We hope to go there towards the end of April and visit the Walter Reed code pinkos.

I hear ya. I could write some stories, I tell you. Some of the people I deal with are just beyond belief.
