Appellants contest the district court’s dismissal of their complaint alleging that the District of Columbia’s gun control laws violate their Second Amendment rights. The court held that the Second Amendment (“A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed”) does not bestow any rights on individuals except, perhaps, when an individual serves in an organized militia such as today’s National Guard. We reverse.

Thus rules the United States Court of Appeals for the DC Circuit.

Oh, what time is it? Made it to church on time but our sub minister did not.....enough said on that subject!

I learned to drive in a 1949 pickup truck but took my test in a manual drive corvair. It was a little like cheating ! But I LIKE driving a 4 on the floor but hubby does not.... so we have automatic transmission type cars. Shhhhh, but hubby burned out the clutch on my Escort years ago...LOL!!

Were the gears on the Corvair sycronized? I can't remember, but I'm thinking that was before gears were fully sycronized.

I don't remember, I don't remember having any problem shifting when I needed to do so, it was easy to drive my boyfriend's car for the test.

Just saw it on the news, two people died in a fire in my neighborhood. The house is gone. An elderly couple ( she was disabled) died this morning when their house went up in flames. I didn't know them, but they lived on the next street from my house. Their daughter is also disabled. I don't know where she is. The CS taskforce is here looking for clues as to why it went up i nflames. I have been upset all dsy and just started to feel better, then say it on the news. I 'd better go for now.
