Wow. So sad. I believe his last concert was performed in my town in NH last Saturday. I was gonna go but then lapsed in getting a ticket.

You had to play this album VERY LOUD! Brings back some good memories.

May he rest in peace and his spirit rock on!

JUST TODAY, I copied a bunch of songs from my CD collection to an SD card, and the first Boston album is one of the discs that I grabbed. I put all of the others back, but for some reason I left that one aside. I eventually put it back, but I kept thinking about why I forgot about that particular CD. Coincidence?

I'm really sad about this.

I've loved them for a long time, "More than a feeling" was
the second tune I learned to play on my guitar
(right after Stairway..)

I was little when their first album came out, I really did grow listening to Boston.

All I can say is..
That band in Heaven got a kick ass vocalist today.

I think mine was "Wish You Were Here", but "More Than a Feeling" was right up there (and "Stairway", of course).

RIP, Brad.

Boston is one of mine and my husband's favorite bands. Great unique sounding guitars -- nothing even similar. Too bad their career was troubled by lawsuits, or we would have had even more Boston. God's speed, Brad.

I had the chance as a freshman in college to see ELO and their back-up band Boston in 1976 and they were both super! I loved Long Time and More Than a Feeling also. Gonna be sorely missed. Godspeed.

That's too bad. Their first album is one of my favorites. As a result, was the first CD I ever bought, and then the first CD I downloaded onto my newly purchased iPod just a couple of months ago. Truly some great music.

I got to see them live in concert twice back in the 90's, when they returned to the road for the first time in many years (at Pine Knob, outside of Detroit). I am glad I had the opportunity.

RIP

I and my family went to the Beatlejuice concert last week. All of the guys in the band stayed after the concert to talk to their fans and sign autographs. Brian Delp was so nice...he was so down to earth and friendly. He talked to my son and encouraged him to keep playing his bass. We are just all in shock.

Oh no. What a voice. The Voice Of A Generation to be sure.

Gad I'm getting old.

I heard "Amanda" today in my car and it still makes me sway.

The tune "More Than A Feeling" reminds me of a bright, sunny
afternoon spent washing friends cars back in high school.

One of the greatest songs ever.

MORE THAN A FEELING

I looked out this morning and the sun was gone
Turned on some music to start my day
I lost myself in a familiar song
I closed my eyes and I slipped away

Its more than a feeling, when I hear that old song they used to play (more than a feeling)
I begin dreaming (more than a feeling)
till I see marianne walk away
I see my marianne walkin away

So many people have come and gone
Their faces fade as the years go by
Yet I still recall as I wander on
As clear as the sun in the summer sky

Its more than a feeling, when I hear that old song they used to play (more than a feeling)
I begin dreaming (more than a feeling)
till I see marianne walk away
I see my marianne walkin away

When Im tired and thinking cold
I hide in my music, forget the day
And dream of a girl I used to know
I closed my eyes and she slipped away
She slipped awa y. she slipped away.

Its more than a feeling, when I hear that old song they used to play (more than a feeling)
I begin dreaming (more than a feeling)
till I see marianne walk away
I see my marianne walkin away

That's ironic.

The same tune takes me back to a 1976 October Sunday night in Lynn, MA in the back seat of a very large Thunderbird with a girl name Susan.

Boston was pretty much Brad Delp. A fantastic musician. One of my favorite bands with Foreplay-Long Time and Hitch a Ride among my favorite songs.

Boston was not bad, but I could not stand that one song,

"Blinded by the Light"..... Way over played.... Every time a radio station would play it that would be my que to turn the station....
