That "math is hard" thing always gets me. Even Daniel seemed to think HKS had been around for 12 years, when that doesn't quite compute - but it's better than BonBon's "15 years."
Everything I've seen indicates that he met her in 1996 and in fact, that's what he testified to in the Seidlin hearing - I was amazed he was truthful about it. That was when she filed for bankruptcy and went looking for more attorneys, outside of her Marshall ones.
Daniel died in 2006, which would've been 10 years max. I know it's picky, but when I think of people saying they met in 1992-1993-1994-1995, I have a hard time picturing a law school student in L.A. knowing a Houston stripper who didn't have need of any CA lawyers until at least say, August, 1995, after her "husband" died.
She did live in L.A., but all the business and legal stuff was in TX. I've seen that they're now saying he set up modeling contracts for her back then, but there's not any evidence of that at all.
Maybe the new owner of the 1992 and 1994 Vickie Smith diaries will tell us if she noted HKS's presence in her life at that time. Doubt it.
whoa...wait a minute..you know people have been saying that person videotaping J. Howard Marshall and Anna sounded like HKS!!!! That tape was done in 1992 so going by the given timeframe it couldn't be him but if there was some type of relationship then I think we also need to look back into the death of J. Howard.
I will have to find it, but I remember reading that after HKS graduated from law school he either opened a practice or joined a practice with another lawyer and he met Vicky Lynn when she went to that firm to represent her when she was trying to begin her modeling career in CA. Now, question is - was he around for the GUESS? jeans contract which is how she made a name for herself - so that she felt she could then marry Marshall? (Also was when the name Anna Nicole was coined for her.) She claimed HM had asked her to marry her back in 1991, as she later stated in interviews with both Larry King and Greta, and she also stated in those interviews that she didn't marry HM for two years because she first wanted to make a name for herself. Or - did HKS come into the picture a little later and was it while she was married to HM, but living in CA house HM bought for her? Also, know that HSK lifted "confidential" document on Pierce Marshall from the table during case in Texas between PM and ANS, which HKS was admonished for by the judge in that case. That document was presented to bankruptcy court in CA, and was the pivotal document in her bankruptcy case. The decision in her favor allowing for the bankruptcy to go through in CA, besides opening the door for her to go back and sue again for half of the estate (and later appeal to supreme court), relieved her from having to pay the $850,000 judgement that was awarded the nanny that sued her in the sexual harassment case she brought against ANS. So seems like it had to be latest 1994. (Will try to find it again.)
