Anna Nicole Died From Sleep Aid

An exclusive report from the Star and the National Enquirer says that ANS met her maker due to an overdose of a potent sleep aid. The magazines are claiming that Anna had a "raging blood infection" that was the cause of her severe fever and nausea in the days before her death.

The infection, the mags say, was the result of an injection given to the model three days before she died -- the needle used was reportedly unsterilized. The reports don't reveal what the injected substance was, only that a "painful abscess developed" at the site.

Sadly, the tabloids speculate that Anna would have survived had she been properly treated in a hospital, as opposed to self-medicating.

The Broward County Medical Examiner, Dr. Joshua Perper, is set to reveal his official findings about what killed ANS on Monday

Wondering if the 'potent sleep aid' was the chloryl hydrate? and how would anyone know that this was administered TO HER and that it was three days before she died?

Dirty needle probabaly = sepsis.

I find it hard to believe you can die in 3 days from a dirty needle resulting in an abscess.

Color me very suspicious of this, but I'm afraid they are going to rule this a natural death. The whole lot of them will skate...........however, if they have any conscience whatsoever [which I doubt] they will know their continued overdosing of her on drugs ultimately killed her.

I have been considering that Anna and Daniel had decided these people did not have her best interest at heart and someone found out.............thus bingo they're both dead. It's just too much of a coincidence that they both wind up dead within a 5 month period.

Too bad she didn't have an MD, an RN or an EMT at her side...
As medical professionals,they would have gotten her to an ER ASAP, recognizing the potential for disasterous results, if this abcess was left untreated..especially considering the very high fever.
They would have realized that she needed blood cultures to identify the specific organism and a loading dose of a potent IV antibiotic to fight the fulminating septicemia.
Too bad...
I would think that the surviving relatives have a very nice malpractice case brewing here against Dr Krisvorkian for negligence.
Moe and Tas don't have clean hands on this ,either.
And who was the fool who used a dirty needle to inject her?
I doubt this was their first day playing nurse.
