KB: It’s my understanding that the other day, Mr. Rale had brought up some concerns that Mr. Stern would be served upon coming to Florida, and your Honor, I’ve reviewed the transcript on the break to make sure I am correct before I state this. Your Honor said ‘he’s here for the limited purpose’ and I said, ‘and that is the burial issue?’ and your Honor said, ‘yes’. I believe. I don’t think your Honor responded one way or the other.
Seildin: Yes
KB: When Mr. Stern went to get in his car, to go get some lunch, he was served, by these people here, with a petition in a California court, and I only bring this to your Honor’s attention for two reasons. One, that the Florida counsel stated to me that under the rules they didn’t think they could do it, so I was not anticipating this. Second of all, we all kind of agreed that Mr. Stern would come here for the purposes of dealing with the issue about Anna. And what this does is bolster the argument that your Honor is going to save for another day. But I think it should be brought to his attention that, you know, they stand here and say ‘Florida, Florida, Florida’ and we walk outside and they serve us with a California petition. So I’d like to bring that to your Honor’s attention and to put it on the record.
Seidlin: Let the record reflect, to the judge in California, and I’m sure he’s going to be able to see this video, that I did ask you to come for this limited purpose. Cause I wanted you to be here and I didn’t want…. I knew if they put another gun to your head, you would not have showed. Therefore it was my intention for him to just show for this hearing and then and not to uh incur any other liability, so to speak.
