Hollywood's Hottest Beauty Inventions!

Just when you thought cosmetic treatments couldn't get any crazier than butt-lifts, hair plugs or cheek implants, here come a whole truckload of new inventions! Tonight, "The Insider" crashes Hollywood's first plastic surgery convention, the Cosmetic Enhancement Expo, to discover the newest breakthroughs in facial and figure improvement.

Apparently we're a nation of beauty addicts. According to the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS) the number of cosmetic procedures done between 1997 through 2002 increased 228 percent! Additionally, the number of surgical and nonsurgical procedures in the United States jumped by 20 percent in 2003 to a total of nearly 8.3 million.

Among the 1,000 surgeons and esthetiticians assembled at the Expo are Dr. GARTH FISHER of ABC's "Extreme Makeover," "Dr. 90210" ROBERT KOTLER and Dr. ATHLEO CAMBRE, who demonstrated a popular, new injectable wrinkle filler called Restylane that aims to rival Botox.

Restylane is a fold filler that is said to erase facial lines in mere minutes. But at $600 a vial, it's not for the frugal.

Tired of that jelly belly? Dr. MAURICE LEVY has a new gadget that he promises will eliminate that tiresome jiggle. The Endermology machine uses deep massage to break down connective tissues that result in cellulite.

"We inject a combination of enzymes to destoy the fat cells," he explains. Then a suction machine is run over the area where it literally wiggles the cellulite away.

And on the wackier end of the spectrum is the Golden Spoons treatment, a 23-carat spatula remedy from Austria. These hot and ice-cold spoons are alternately applied to patients to promote a more youthful complexion. At least there are no needles!
