Makes ya wonder. LOL, there was a rumor on the CTV forum yesterday, I think, that Mark Steines had moved into Horizons with HKS - and that spread all around and was taken as gospel within a few minutes by posters there (kinda like ET owning the cemetery or something like that, remember that one?).

I just did a little bit of googling to try to find the source of the Brigitte-as-nurse story.

The one story was small and just said that Brigitte Neven said ANS didn't choke on her own vomit and died a peaceful death.

The time period of the stories was much later than when I first saw her on GMA, I believe. What I think is that this was during the time we hadn't seen Tas yet and didn't know her name - and even Moe was being mysterious and not ID'ed by his last name.

Half the stories just say Brigitte Neven and then some of the gossip blogs picked her up as "the nurse who discovered ANS". Of course, it was Tas making that claim, but someone tagging Neven with it, because she went on TV and told basically the same story.

Y'all here is a nice synopsis of the headlines right after the death. Some stories have changed since then haven't they?

Janet Charlton’s Hollywood:

“Hotel sources say that when Anna arrived a few days ago she was ‘out of it’ and slurring her words and she stayed that way during her visit. Also it seemed that Anna was REALLY dreading the court ordered blood test for her baby - and her reasons might be far more complicated that we assumed. Someone actually speculated that the baby might not have been fathered by either Larry Birkhead OR Howard Stern … this person implied that the baby could have been fathered by someone very close to Anna - someone like her own son Daniel. It’s a horrible thought, but remember, Anna lived in a different world than most of us.”

US Weekly:

“Numerous sources at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida, are now coming forward, claiming that the 39-year-old former Playboy Playmate and Guess model appeared to be having a drug overdose shortly before her death … The scene was surreal at Memorial Regional Hospital, where Anna Nicole Smith was rushed via ambulance. According to a source, Smith was not completely covered when she arrived at the trauma/emergency entrance, but as she was wheeled in, ‘the white sheet was then put completely over her body.’”

National ENQUIRER:

“A witness said: ‘It was absolute madness. Anna suddenly collapsed, and everyone started to majorly freak out. The paramedics got to the hotel in minutes, put a tube down her throat and tried to resuscitate her.’ A member of staff said: ‘There was pandemonium. Howard was screaming for paramedics. They got to work right away.’ The medics were seen pumping her chest and desperately trying to revive her as she was rushed on a stretcher to a waiting ambulance. One onlooker said: ‘It didn’t look at all good for her. She seemed totally lifeless. Her bodyguard flew past me like a bat out of hell.’”

TMZ:

“…There were six people, including Anna, staying with her in her two-bedroom suite at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Florida. The private nurse, who discovered Anna unresponsive, is the wife of Anna’s bodyguard. The bodyguard, who is also a paramedic, administered CPR to Anna until an ambulance arrived. Anna’s companion, Howard K. Stern, was staying in the room as well. The identities of two other individuals are, at this time, still unknown. Â… A source at the hotel tells TMZ that Anna Nicole was in Florida to purchase a 39 foot; boat from a Miami Beach broker who had the boat in Ft. Lauderdale. The boat was being prepared for purchase at the time of her death.”

Life & Style:

“Bobby Trendy, 27, best known as the decorator on Anna Nicole’s reality TV series, The Anna Nicole Smith Show, was with the 39-year-old former Playboy model in Florida yesterday, Feb. 7. ‘This is such devastating news,’ Bobby tells Life & Style. ‘I was with her yesterday in Hollywood, Florida, and she seemed happy and upbeat. She was so happy to see me. We hugged. She seemed like her old self, making silly jokes and laughing. I’m so shocked I can’t even tell you. She was in a good mood — she looked fine, she seemed fine.Â’ Â… Bobby tells Life & Style, ‘She had a nurse with her because she had fallen recently and hurt herself.’”

In Touch Weekly:

“Anna Nicole and her boyfriend, lawyer Howard K. Stern, had checked into the hotel on Monday evening. Howard’s sister Bonnie Stern tells In Touch that the couple had gone to Florida from their home in the Bahamas to pick up a boat. ‘She came down with a severe flu. She felt awful,’ says Bonnie, who says that is why she had a nurse with her.”
