Danny and Anna weren't "street people" on drugs. The fact that they dragged her to Florida when she was very, very sick already is a big flag...because she didn't die from her "flu".
No matter how you cut it, Howard lied in Seidlin's court about the Methadone. At least Perper found that.
Speaking of “street people”, Greta asked Hef if Anna was smart. He paused for what seemed like an eternity, then he said “street smart. not highly educated but street smart.” That was very telling. Do you know what i mean? Street smart people can smell a fake a mile away (unless they’re on drugs). Not highly educated people let other people take on their financial and legal problems.
Hef chose his words very carefully. It was one of the most sincere (honest) and enlightening interviews I’ve seen. He didn’t fawn over Anna. He did say she made bad choices (not sure if he was referring to the drugs or Stern, probably both).
He also said that when he first knew her she wasn’t into drugs or not too much (can’t remember that part exactly). Then he didn’t see her for awhile. Then he saw her again the last time about 3-4 years ago at the Playboy 50th anniversary party and HKS wasn’t there with her. She was with another guy who used to rep her and who is also the rep of Marilyn Monroes estate, and that she had obviously been drinking that night.
OBTW, the next issue of Playboy is going to feature Anna on the cover. Her 4th time on the cover. Hef said Pam Anderson holds the record for the most covers, but that 4 times is pretty rare at that.
They’re going to do a special story about her in the mag and the Playboy Channel is going to have a special about her coming up very soon too. They mentioned the date of that but i didn’t catch.
