I don't think she was being de-toxed for the purpose of her going straight...I think they wanted it out of her system because Danny had it in his and Howard had wanted to be able to say that...After Danny died, she wanted to go straight...She blamed herself. That's matches the 5 month court statement.

She was not being de-toxed for the purpose of getting off drugs.
For some reason, the methadone was left behind in the Bahamas - probably scared of trying to get it out (and back into) the Bahamas, where it's illegal.

KE most likely told HK$ that chloral hydrate (legal in US & Bahamas) would be a good substitute to keep ANS drowsy!

An added benefit - and overdose could kill her!

He obviously didn't count on her bile still having traces. I'm amazed how Cyril Wecht want's to ignore that presence in her system, esclaiming today most of the drugs in her system are legal drugs we can buy at drugstore.

Why is he so desperate to whitewash both deaths?
