(AP) LOS ANGELES The sister of Anna Nicole Smith's partner said he was not with the former Playboy playmate when she died but knew that she was very sick only hours before she collapsed.

Howard K. Stern's older sister, Bonnie, recently traveled from her Beverly Hills home to the Bahamas to be with the 38-year-old California lawyer who says he is the father of Smith's baby.

Smith, 39, died Thursday after collapsing in her room at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Fla. A private nurse called 911 after finding Smith unresponsive.

Bonnie Stern said her brother told her that Smith was running a fever of 105 degrees and that a nurse was "icing her down" earlier that day.

"When he left her, she was sleeping," Bonnie Stern said.

Bonnie Stern said that he had tried to get Smith to visit a doctor but Smith had refused because she was afraid that it would garner publicity. When news reached him that Smith was dead, she said, he had been gone only for about two hours.

according to this article and others i have read, it says she was being iced down when he left her to go on the boat the day she died. That is what i was questioning. Today they said the 105 degree fever and the ice down was on Tues and not on Thur. Something isn't rite here. And as far as Anna Nicole not wanting to go to the hospital, I think it was past that, she was so ill Howard should of called someone in.

Anna Nicole Was On Weight Loss Medications

HOLLYWOOD, Fl. (March 26, 2007) – The diet pill industry is set to be rocked by a coroner's announcement earlier today that model and TrimSpa spokeswoman Anna Nicole Smith was on a host of prescription drugs including weight loss medication, when she died last month.

"As background information we knew that Miss Smith suffered back pain and was prescribed Methadone," Broward County Coroner Joshua Perper told the media during a press conference set up to reveal the results of Smith's autopsy. "In addition to that she was taking a number of anti-anxiety drugs and weight reducing drugs, human growth hormones."

Among the drugs in Smith's system at the time of her death included Topamax. Perper said either Human growth hormone or B12 had been injected into her buttocks days before her death.

Topamax is a drug generally used to treat seizures and migraines. A side effect in some patients can be a loss of taste.

Access Hollywood has learned that studies on Topamax have revealed that when the medication is taken in higher doses of 100 MG or more, it can produce weight loss effects.

Human growth hormone has also been shown to produce weight loss in studies.

Calls to Trimspa were not returned at press time but a statement from the company is expected later today.

Prior to her death, Smith was gearing up to take part in a contest to help TrimSpa find a new spokesperson.

Three. I noticed this morning that one of the eagles was putting more sticks around the edge of the nest, and that mom was making their area a little deeper. I guess that they're getting a bigger and more prone to wander off the edge of the nest. What's really cute to see is mom and dad feeding them at the same time. Yesterday I watched when dad flew into the nest with a fish in his talon.

Wecht was actually gloating that those who thought Stern was guilty of a crime were wrong. He said that sometimes "isolated" deaths in a family (like ANS and Danny) just happen. Just a big co-inkydinky... I really dislike this man.
