Well, that is great wishful thinking. But I believe Rales in it up to his eyebrows with HKS. I wouldn't be shocked if Stern goes down Rales is with him.

I agree with you HKS should go down if the drugs were in his name, however, in this post-OJ era I'm not going to hold my breath.

I sure wish we'd had a thread like this during the OJ fiasco.

A friend of mine told me just last week that someone (a homeopathic doctor, I believe) recommended to her a mixture of 50/50 turmeric and honey as an antibiotic. Sounded strange at the time, but maybe there is something to it.

wishful thinking on my part...

(Stern's Lawyers speaking...)
We have called this news conference today to announce that we have decide to jump off HKS's fast sinking ship. HKS was taken in for questioning on Sunday in the Bahamas by the Royal Bahamian Police. Early this morning we have learned that HKS was arrested by the Royal Bahamian Police for the murder of Daniel Smith. Due to this news we have decided to no longer represent HKS. We now know that we will never be paid for our services and we have refused the payment that the HKS ET network tried to give us earlier today. We ask the public for their forgiveness as we now know we made a huge mistake by choosing to represent him.

Not sure why anyone thought it would be earlier, unless there was some paperwork involved. IOW, HKS would have had to have filed a waiver of his right to appeal, so the announcement could go ahead.

Somehow, I just don't see that happening.

Daniel Smith Inquest Starts Tomorrow (tuesday - story going in the Monday 3/26 issue)

26th March
Daniel Smith Inquest Starts Tomorrow

By Quincy Parker

LA photographer Larry Birkhead has asked to give evidence at the Coroner’s Inquest that begins Tuesday into the death of Daniel Wayne Smith, who died suddenly at Doctors Hospital while visiting his mother Anna Nicole Smith, and newborn sister Dannielynn last September.

The inquest into the death of Daniel Smith last September will take place before Chief Magistrate Roger Gomez. (Journal file photo)

Mr. Birkhead, who contends that he’s the baby’s real father, is one arm of the three-way battle for custody of Dannielynn, and appeared to have won what he considered a victory in the proceedings when Supreme Court Justice Stephen Isaacs requested a paternity test on the child.

He is seeking proof that he is Dannielynn’s father, and if that is proven, he is expected to get custody of the child and sources close to him say he will sue Ms. Smith’s live-in lawyer, Howard K. Stern.

Mr. Stern is listed on Dannielynn’s birth certificate as her father, and has had custody of the child since Ms. Smith’s sudden death on February 8 in a Florida hotel room.

According to Mr. Birkhead’s camp, if he is the father, he’ll sue Mr. Stern for "substantial" damages because Mr. Stern has been "denying his rights as the father."

Chief Magistrate Roger Gomez, who will preside over the inquest, told the Journal Mr. Birkhead might be called as a witness.

"I really don’t know the extent of the evidence that he’ll be giving, but he has expressed an interest in appearing as well," Mr. Gomez said.

The chief magistrate has already said that Mr. Stern’s testimony would be key to the proceedings. Besides Ms. Smith, he was the only person present in the hospital room during the time Daniel is believed to have died.

Broward County Medical Examiner Dr. Joshua Perper has announced that he will disclose the results of his autopsy on Ms. Smith’s remains, and the results of the toxicology report on Monday.

The jury in the Smith inquest will be charged with finding the legal cause of the 20-year-old’s death. That will be either a mirror of the medical cause of death, or a combination of the medical cause of death and other circumstances.

At the end of the inquest, once the jurors have determined the legal cause of death, they will make recommendations as to procedure going forward – like the jury in the inquest into the January 17 prison breakout recommended murder charges be filed against a prison guard.

The Bahamian coroner is a creature of the law, not a pathologist like the US coroner. It will be Mr. Gomez’s duty to guide the jury in their deliberations.

Winston Saunders, the first chief coroner in The Bahamas, had a history of being actively involved in inquests over which he presided, demanding that witnesses clarify evidence for the court and jury, sometimes questioning witnesses himself.

His successors, William Campbell and Linda Virgill, have continued that tradition of active participation.

Mr. Gomez told the Journal that he too will be an active participant in the proceedings.

"Yes, but I’ll try to be as impartial as possible. I won’t be taking any sides with any particular witness. The court has to appear to be impartial – you can’t appear to be prosecutorial against a particular person," he said.

"You must be impartial."

I don't think so - I still think '96 sounded the most right, altho I hate to agree with HKS.

That's the timeframe I first came up with, then when he said it under oath, I thought it was probably correct, because he would've stretched for as long a time period as possible, if he could've. More grief, dontcha know.

Even '97 would be a good compromise.

Checking in with upset tummy- must be all the new recipes!

If Anna Nicole Smith had been an 89 year old woman with early Alzheimers - Dr.Kris and Mr.Howie would be facing charges of abusing the elderly.

If Anna Nicole Smith had been an 8 year old child -as she appeared in the clown video - Dr. Kris and Mr. Howie would be charged with child abuse.

GET DANNIELYNN AWAY FROM THAT ABUSER NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know you don't have cable - but it was all over FOX News yesterday that The DNA results would be announced on Monday.

Today that was cleared up by Larry's 2 lady Florida lawyers that they will be abiding the gag order and order of the sealed DNA results.

to add...

It was all over FOX News yesterday that The DNA results would be announced on Monday (here in the USA and not by the Bahamian court or judge)

And yes there is probably a loophole that Larry could take advantage of. Those samples and the results are no longer in the jurisdiction of the Bahamas. But we have no idea of Larry would take advantage of any possible loophole.

The media also played fast and loose with the date of the Daniel inquest, too. It had been Mar 27 all along, then somebody just one day started saying it was Mar 26th and then *everybody* said it was the 26th.

Lo and behold, it's Mar 27th, as it was all along. I don't know why they changed the date from Apr 3 on the DNA results announcement. Have no idea. It's The Bahamas rule to give the courtesy 14 days for an appeal and HKS stated from the first minute he had the intent to appeal it.

He can't perform a "negative". He can't just announce, well, OK, I won't file an appeal, y'all go ahead. Sure. You know what he would do, then. Sue everyone's azz. And Larry best not be doing anything to show contempt for The Bahamian courts until Dannielynn is safely ensconced wherever she rightfully belongs.

As late as last night, Geraldo was still saying that the inquest for Daniel was scheduled to begin today (Monday), as well as the COD on Anna. I just hope that the proceedings on Daniel aren't kept so secret and hidden from us!

That's the way British courts all operate. Permanent gag orders all around while a case is before the court.

Luckily, the inquest will be long with lots of witnesses (more people, more mouths to blab) and tons of coverage - so we'll know tidbits and probably the overall direction each day. Then again, maybe not!

Video slots are what they call slot machines, like, Price is right, Cleopatra, wheel of fortune, that are 5 lines across with multiple ways to win, other than just straight across. The bets vary from 5 lines x 9 or x10 or x15 or x20 on up.

There are bonus symbols and scatter pays and certain symbols trigger a bonus round that could be (depending on the game) a bunch of free spins, or another screen appears, as in The Price is Right, where you spin the wheel, like on TV and get between 50-1.00 and you get to go to the showcase.

There are all kinds of these in pennies and nickels at any casino.

They have Elvis, Marilyn, Betty Boop, Deal or No deal, Monopoly and tons more.

Too many to name. They are a hoot when you hit the bonus games.

You can go online and play some of the for free to see how they work. Some of the online ones are not exactly like the casino ones but you would get the idea.

So, who were these lady lawyers of Birkhead's? What were they talking about?

I think you have them on your list already under Birkhead's lawyers. They would not talk about the paternity test due to the gag order.

Here is some real sickening stuff... This dude reports for ET.

http://www.artharris.com/

His latest blog entry is titled

No Criminal Charges in Anna’s Death; Infection, Sleeping Meds to be Blamed; Howard K. Stern to be Cleared–Sources; Will He Sue Virgie, “Texas” for Slander?
March 26th, 2007

When Dr. Joshua Perper tells us what killed Anna Nicole Smith Monday, sources tell us Howard K. Stern will be cleared of any criminal wrongdoing and may be in a position to sue those who have been calling him a murderer–for slander.

I think your right that ANS died from Sepsis(Septicemia).

The abscess was most likely on her liver. The fall in the bathtub may have ruptured the abscess.

She supposedly had 105 temp, diarrhea, nausea, unable to urinate and Dr. Perper stated that her liver was enlarged 20% at the initial autopsy.

Negligence: Howard K. Stern and Dr. Khristine Eroshevich

COD
Heart Failure
Sepsis/Infection
Drug Overdose?
