You know, I seldom agree with PETA (okay, okay, never), but in this instance they really do have something. When you realize the energy spent, resources used, and emission of greenhouse gases associated with meat production EXCEED the total emissions of ALL the world's cars and trucks, combined, you realize you can make a difference and still drive a safe car instead of a tuna can. It means that each of us can thumb our noses at Kyoto by just consuming less (or no) meat.
I used to ask people if they would rather give up showers for a month or one pound of hamburger a month (1000 gallons of water or more); they usually came around to my way of thinking, LOL!
It's time Algore put his enormous buttprint where his mouth is. (That didn't make sense, but I enjoyed saying it, ha!)
I enjoyed reading it! lOL
Good morning. Glenn Beck is talkingabout this subject now.
Makes a lot of sense to me. I am a vegetarian for animal love reasons & because for me it seems right, (not health).. but the more research I do into various things re: macrobiotic diet, cancer prevention, mediterranean diet, fit for life, the more I realize that although things might taste good via acquired taste, they aren't necessarily overall good for you.
for example sugar & an acid high diet feed cancer.. Cheese also.. now these are things I LIKE...
you info on this was interesting, thanks for ping
