Did everyone hear Hillary from yesterday? Her drawl?? What a character!! Anymore, I don't know whether to laugh or feel sorry for her...this is on top of my total opposition to her political positions...but as a human being, she is pretty pathetic.

Wonderful links, Molly! I can't listen to the old fraud's fake Southern accent, becase my blood pressure will go up just thinking some people are stupid enough to vote for her anyway.
And why is it that Democrats are allowed to campaign in churches with impunity, and those churches don't lose their tax-exempt status, but Republicans who express their faith are considered "god bags" (to quote John Edwards' staffer)? If I were a Democrat (never happen, never happen), I would be ashamed of the rank hypocrisy.
At least my Southern drawl is authentic, unlike you know whose, when I ask, "Whare you gonnna goooooo in N'oth Caroliiiiina, Rave?"
Not only did Hillary affect the drawl, but she also read a 1st person Black poem in a gruff Black male voice. Her pandering was so obvious (to me) that I was surprised that she didn't claim to have enjoyed the watermelon served at the breakfast meeting held before the service.
The Walter Reed Hospital debacle, according to what I've read, is another headline grabbing inaccuracy: the deplorable conditions are not in the hospital proper but in a building across the street from the hospital (ex-motel dubbed Building 18 and due to be torn down...thus repairs would have been an unnecessary expense and unfeasible) which the government bought to house an overflow of ambulatory vets, who could go home for further treatment if they wished.
The damage is in only 7 rooms, and the story goes (that I read) that those particular rooms housed vets who refused to move to other rooms when offered the chance, refused to have a change of sheets, had clothes and debris all over the floor but refused to allow a modicum of clean-up there.
Senator Diane Fienstein, head of the Veteran Affairs Committee and now loudly complaining, evidently was not on top of her job keeping an eye on things, because The Washington Post has known about all this for the past 4 months and did a story on it.
Her Heinousness may well have handed the nomination to Obama yesterday. That kind of hamhanded pandering might have sold in that black church yesterday, but you can bet that Leno, Letterman, SNL and the rest of the late night crowd will be all over this one. And Obama and Edwards will be running that soundbyte in Iowa and NH....
