no , I didn't know that. I like his work. I think we were all shocked that he got the Oscar, however. He did a good job in the movie but Eddie Murphy gave the performance of his life .. and I love his work also
I've been hearing a theory that it was the release of "Norbit"...which was trashed on all fronts...that ruined Eddie's chances. Don't know if it's true.
