Thanks Phil & Pookie for your contributions this week. I haven't seen Jaws since it was released.. I need to see it again. I am recalling how scary it was to me as an adult...the music was so contagious... AND a PG rating.. interesting

I am recalling how scary it was to me as an adult...the music was so contagious... AND a PG rating.. interestingI was going to address the PG rating in my review, but as you can see, there was already enough stuff in there.
It got a PG rating because there's no murders in it. It was decided that as violent and gory as the movie is, the deaths aren't mimic-able; no one's going to go out and start eating people because they saw the shark doing it.
