02/27/07 -- DURHAM) - New motions have been filed in the Duke Lacrosse sex assault case.
Defense attorneys for Collin Finnery, Reade Seligmann and David Evans filed the 39-page motion at the Durham Courthouse Tuesday morning. In it defense attorneys for the three former Duke Lacrosse players say the prosecution is still holding out on potentially-explosive DNA evidence.
The DNA was taken in a rape kit the morning after the now-infamous lacrosse party on March 13, 2006 where the accuser says she was gang raped.
This new filing says they've not been given all the DNA evidence that excludes their clients but includes more unrelated male DNA.
Durham District Attorney Mike Nifong dropped rape charges against Collin Finnerty, Reade Seligmann and David Evans last December. All three defendants still face kidnapping and sexual offense charges.
I would be very surprised if it was Nifong - I would not for a moment be surprised, however, if it was one of his conspicuosly-absent-from-this-case bosses.... like a Police Chief or Mayor....

I agree.
Maybe there's some DNA tracing back to the DA's office. Wouldn't it be a hoot to find out there's some Nifong DNA in there.
I think Rick Derringer wrote a song about that. "Rock 'n Roll, Hootchie Douche."

If you want to speak out, do it now.
Time for the vox populi to be heard.
Because justice may be forced to take a back seat in this
case if it doesn't.
It'll probably trace back to someone connected to the governor's office.
I signed the petition. I think JLS was on target too. This was a warning shot across the bow to the new team.
Do ya' think? ;-) ;-)
Good old Governor Weasley's office.

After his disastrous performance at the December 15 hearing "when he admitted that he and Mike Nifong had entered into an agreement to intentionally withhold exculpatory DNA evidence "Dr. Brian Meehan filed an amended report, which purported to be the complete results of his findings. That report did little more than confirm what he admitted under oath in questioning from Brad Bannon: that DNA from multiple, unidentified, males was found in the accuser's rape kit.
Defense attorneys have continued to scrutinize Meehan's data, however, and today's motion reveals that they have uncovered even more DNA "from additional unidentified males "that Meehan's amended report failed to include. According to the motion, DNA Security discovered the DNA of at least two males in the accuser's rectum that did not match the Defendants, their lacrosse teammates, or anyone else who provided a reference DNA sample.

Today's defense motion also provides a statistical summary of the Meehan test results: A collective review of all materials provided to the Defendants and information obtained by the Defendants about DNA Security's work shows that at least 12 of the 22 rape kit DNA extractions, "in other words, over half of them" contained male DNA that did not match the Defendants.
"...and have you any additional details"
This sounds like a job for...xoxoxoxo!

What about the other 10 DNA extractions? Is that what the Defense wants?
Who is surprised?
This is a warning to the SP's and a shot at Nifong right before his response to the board.
As someone else said, Crystal is apparently allergic to condoms....
I wonder if she is still "working" to support those 3 fatherless children.
The boys are guilty because one of those honest, crusading DAs said so. Evidence does not matter.
Is this site affiliated with the ACLU?
It appears everyone but the Duke Lacrosse team.........
Could be someone related to some powerful Liberian.
More DNA hidden by Nifong--Are you kidding me??????????? I've been against the Feds getting involved until the SP has had its chance--I believe the time has come!
