THE DANISH POET!! YESSSS! Notice when the award winners stood up and started walking towards the stage, pretty much everyone was clapping... except for a middle eastern-looking fellow sitting in an aisle seat. Hmmm...

I love actors. I worked with them for years and, with exception to their politics, I really like most I've dealt with.

Did you see it? It doesn't whitewash their fanaticism or cruelty at all.

I had an uncle that survived Bataan. I won't be watching the movie. I have a real hard time with war movies anyway.

There is something weirdly appealing about Jack Black. It's definitely a guilty pleasure to admit you like him.
I liked him in King Kong, I liked him in the fat girl movie and I liked him in The Holiday.
I don't know if he likes me or not; most people don't.

It's been major boring so far. Have they handed out any major awards yet? They used to start off with Best Supporting Actor ... haven't watched in a while.
And what are they doing now ... A chorus of people making noises with their mouths?

I don't blame you for that....I feel the same way...a friend of mine's dad was in the So Pacific during WW11 and survived being a POW...he met his wife an Army nurse recovering from his imprisonment...he lost a leg due to their torture....

I feel the same way about writers.
They're all liberal (but me) but I like them.

King Kong acted better than Black. I found that movie to be a hill of beans...horrid in every way. Please no more remakes of this crap.

No, I did not see it. And I won't. In fact, I saw none of the nominated movies.
I did see something about Penguins.

I really don't know how anyone could have survived years of that kind of torture/disease/lack of food. I wouldn't have made it 2 days.
