As we settle into the nighttime of despair, fret not, for the Sun will rise again!!
Good morning!!
We, here, will never forget those who died on September 11, 2001, as we seek to protect the Republic from all who will do her harm!!
On a vote of 246 to 182, mostly along party lines, the House indicated it should be National policy to shame the troops and support defeat in the current war.
Interestingly, the DemoncRATS say they don't want to repeat the finale of the Vietnam War where they pulled the rug out from under the Saigon regime, and forever became known as the party of peace at any cost. Nevertheless, that is exactly the strategy they are pursuing.
Today, the Senate will likely tell the world "wait long enough, America will leave," placing our troops in Baghdad and Iraq in even more peril.
Of course, the DemoncRATS have an answer for that--they want the President to bring the troops home. In other words, while they want an American defeat, they want it at the hands of the Republican President--to wash themselves of the Vietnam debacle.
Oh, how the ghosts of the past haunt the present.
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.
The Iowa GA isn't worthy of kissing your patootie!
I am basing my remarks on the fact that there isn't a single member of the GA who has access to military intelligence, and therefore doesn't have the FACTS necessary to make a decision on how to vote on the resolution.
Mr IG has already left this morning on a business trip, so it's quiet here
my tobaggon..
utsamatta? you blind!
lol
Peach, I hope your ankle is feeling better.

PS..heat wave coming today. Algorey was right. Going to hit 30 today for first time in month over 20 & most days were in single digits or below zero.
This climate sucks - pretty or not
Our weather forecast says we will be up to 50 degrees on Friday. I can't wait!
Received my first shipment from Park seed on Saturday. It is a new annual I am going to try called Angelonia serina, also called "summer snapdragon." I THINK this was the annual my sister bought and planted in with her mums. She bought it in a six-pack, and had no idea of the name.
Anyway, here is a picture:
I hope so, as it was very pretty and mixed well with a lot of her flowers. I ordered one each of pink, purple, lavender, and white (10 pelleted seeds of each). I needed some spiky annuals, and am hoping this fits the bill.
That summer snap dragon is interesting. I will be interested to know how it works out. I have used blue salvia as my tall spikey annual for years. Old habits are hard to overcome.
I'm ordering some grasses. Most are perennial. I am looking for something to soften things up.
I will be anxious to see what is left out there this spring. I'm expecting some serious winterkill after the subzero temps that lasted so long.
Also, when Mr IG bladed the drive he tore out a large patch of soil and mulch from beside the front steps,,, I could see mulch and dirt drug all along the edge of the drive beside the area where the blade was clearing the drive. I know he took some burgundy mums out. And I am fearful he got my most prized pinky peach ruffled day lily.
Gardening is always an adventure. Sometimes a horrible adventure.
Let me know about the snap dragons.
I am afraid I lost a bunch of stuff, too. Before the cold came I had a lot of things which had broken dormancy, including my mums. When I heard the temps were falling, I went out and shoveled dirt and straw over some, but I don't know if that helped. I will just have to wait and see. I will be REALLY upset if I lost those Shasta daisy Becky's!
Rave, 'thought you and your GF/SH would get a laugh out of this one: Couple Plan To Tie The Knot In Graveyard
Those snaps are gorgeous, Jane.
Will be anxious to hear how they do.
According to WIBC radio this morning, Governor Mitch Daniels has decided to endorse a Republican presidential candidate. It is (get ready):
John McCain!!!!!
It's feeling good. I called my fellow altar guild friend and her ankle (where the dog bit it) is feeling okay and she's not limping or anything.
It's going to be in the 60's and 70's this week!!!
