anti-seizure medication might have been what Wecht was holding back, thinking it was best to keep it private

Having epilepsy is nothing to be ashamed of. Years ago there was a stigma attached to it but I don't believe a doctor would consider it something to hide nowadays.

I said "why" - not shame, but insurance for ANS and "work" considerations.

It would be "embarrassing" because she or he may have sworn at some point in some legal contracts that they did not have seizures and Wecht didn't want to be the one to tell the world about it.
