If HKS was admitted to the CA Bar in 1994, why would Anna Nicole Smith hire a guy with two years experience to be her legal counsel in 96?

The amazing thing about HKS working for ANS is not that his credentials were light, but that a UCLA Law graduate (rated #15 by USN&WR) has sunk so low. Imagine, you met HKS at a party, and made small talk and found he was a UCLA Law School graduate. Impressed, you asked about his practice. He would say: "See that bimbo over there, who just passed out on the floor? I sort of hang around her, do legal work, and score occasional nookie."

And I'd reply, "Come on, Howard. Do you expect me to believe the nookie part? No way!"

I don't think there was any nookie scoring by HK$. There was an exchange between HK$ and Daniel (from the reality show?) where HK$ teases Daniel about being a virgin...Daniel swipes back (to the effect) 'you've been around my mom 10 years and never got any p###y.'

Kinda speaks volumns to both the ANS HK$ relationship and the one between Daniel and HK$.
