Anna Nicole Smith collapsed in her hotel room at the Hard Rock Cafe and Casino in Hollywood, Fla., and was rushed to a hospital on Thursday. A Hollywood, Fla., fire department spokesman told MSNBC TV that the actress was unresponsive when the rescue unit arrived on the scene.
Sources confirmed to Access Hollywood that Smith was transported to Memorial Regional Hospital shortly after 2 p.m. EST on Thursday. Access Hollywood also is reporting that Smith was intubated at the scene.
Officials told the Miami Herald, "it does not look good."

When trying to reduce a fever:
DO NOT bundle up someone who has the chills.
Remove excess clothing or blankets. The environment should be comfortably cool. For example, one layer of lightweight clothing, and one lightweight blanket to sleep. If the room is hot or stuffy, a fan may help.
A lukewarm bath or sponge bath may help cool someone with a fever. This is especially effective after medication is given -- otherwise the temperature might bounce right back up.
DO NOT use cold baths or alcohol rubs. These cool the skin, but often make the situation worse by causing shivering, which raises the core body temperature.
Drink cool liquids, as tolerated.

They showed a picture of her walking around....presumedly from that morning. Anna didn't have that drained look that goes with being ill. Where was Howard when they dunked her in the cold water??
Remember, Howard had only left a few minutes before they found her. He was 5 miles away. It took him 20 minutes to get there???

Me, too.. when the truth is probably closer to he is afraid to leave her for fear they won't let him back into the Bahamas and Virgie will get her hands on the baby.
I never saw or heard anything at all about the "yacht" trip, because all that was posted was a video link and never any text - I don't have a sound card or video card on this puter.
So I have been in the dark about who the people are who were involved, other than Brigitte Neven, King Eric Gibson, Khristine Eroshevich, this bodyguard "Moe" and his wife, the nurse - and what exactly they've each said happened.
Some have done interviews I've seen, but I have nothing to compare to, from the day it was reported on-scene. I've seen one still photo of the boat, but don't know where it was docked or who they bought it from or why or when or who the captain is, the brother of Shane Gibson, or where the boat is now, or *anything*!
Stern has said he was "only gone 2 hours."
Now you are NOT supposed to dunk them in icy water because the temp drops too fast. You sponge them down with cool water.
I only know because my middle son ran those scary high temps!
