Anna Nicole Smith collapsed in her hotel room at the Hard Rock Cafe and Casino in Hollywood, Fla., and was rushed to a hospital on Thursday. A Hollywood, Fla., fire department spokesman told MSNBC TV that the actress was unresponsive when the rescue unit arrived on the scene.
Sources confirmed to Access Hollywood that Smith was transported to Memorial Regional Hospital shortly after 2 p.m. EST on Thursday. Access Hollywood also is reporting that Smith was intubated at the scene.
Officials told the Miami Herald, "it does not look good."
And guess what - I remember people waiting forever for Laci and Connor Peterson's death certificates (even longer than forever to Scott, who needed Laci's to sell the house!) - depends on the jurisdiction, but the manner of death, whether to be ruled homicide, suicide, natural causes, accidental or "unknown" needs to be filled in.
It doesn't *have to* be done ASAP and can be amended, but it's much neater if done when issued. Like Daniel's was probably issued in The Bahamas, but it is still termed "suspicious" as to the origin of certain of the drugs in his system (not all of them, mainly the methadone is questionable).
Can this judge order a paternity test?

She would like to SEE the baby, of course. But I got the idea she thinks Larry Birkhead is the likely father, and she would be fine if he had custody of the baby once paternity is established. She definitely wants the baby AWAY from Stern.
As for Anna's hatred, there are two sides to most stories. We don't know the details in order to be so certain that Anna bore no responsibility for the estrangement. I had an adopted cousin who despised her adoptive mother, yet I knew there were two sides and she was a horribly impossible baby and child from the get go. No one could do a thing with her. Probably bad genes plus difficult very early months of life before her adoption.
I hope for the baby's sake she will come to know she has a grandmother who might serve some good purpose in her life.
REGARDLESS of her late mother's hatred.

Admittedly, I didn't watch her kooky show, but any time she was in the MSM, she was slurring, incoherent and had her eyes half-closed. Bless her.

Yes, I certainly agree. I wasn't inferring that Anna had no part in their separation. I just see that picture in my mind of Anna seething with hatred when she mentioned her mother. Something really wrong there.
And you're correct; none of us know the details. I share in your hope that the baby ends up with somebody that can give her love.

G. Ben Thompson, a Myrtle Beach, S.C., developer, says he bought the property where Anna Nicole has been staying with her newborn child. Thompson says he met Anna through neighbors last year, and that he bought the house for just under $1 million as a favor to her. She was then supposed to buy it from him. Now he is saying that she is refusing to do so.

Of course!! They want the death certificate to show cause of death as NOT criminal so that when it says "Howard K. Stern gets everything because he my baby daddy", it won't look worse for him!
Reports are that they are investigating the break in from last week. Why aren't they invistegating the important thing?

And don't forget, we're hearing all this from the people on Howard's side, the very people who have a vested interest in making sure the mother doesn't get near Anna or the baby.

From what I've seen on tv over my lunch hour, attorneys are really hammering this judge for his performance. His only duty, as far as they are saying, is to determine who has custody of Anna's body, not all these other agendas. He's getting bigtime criticism for trying to cover "bases" that don't belong in his room (not even a courtroom).
Ford Shelley already admitted he got the stuff and went straight back home to Myrtle Beach and gave it all to the Horry County Sheriff, where's it all under lock and key.
Maybe HKS is making a bigger to-do - probably thought of some other things that are *missing.*

She never had a GREAT relationship with her mother, but her mother raised Daniel until he was an older child. And after he died, she called her mother.
BUT, she got FURIOUS with Larry Birkhead and her MOTHER when they got together trying to get her off drugs while pregnant. She had already had one miscarraige due to drugs and trampolines and other who knows what. Have you ever had to deal with an addict? They will DISPISE YOU, HATE YOU, WISH DEATH ON YOU, when you try to take away their addiction. Throw that in there with threatening taking away your child (soon to be child) and THEN have this loser HKS who 'I've always been there for you Anna, here, I don't mind if you do this, or that, or this...'. So it's somewhat natural that an addict would choose an enabler over someone who expected them to take the high road. And THEN throw in her mother, on national TV, suggesting that Howard (or herself in ANS ears) had something to do with Daniel's death. Her own sense of guilt may have made her internalise that to her hatred for Larry and her mother. Hence her IM messages with Daniel, "Why don't you go f&ck my mother too" IE: Since you have done everything else behind my back.
