Anna Nicole Smith collapsed in her hotel room at the Hard Rock Cafe and Casino in Hollywood, Fla., and was rushed to a hospital on Thursday. A Hollywood, Fla., fire department spokesman told MSNBC TV that the actress was unresponsive when the rescue unit arrived on the scene.
Sources confirmed to Access Hollywood that Smith was transported to Memorial Regional Hospital shortly after 2 p.m. EST on Thursday. Access Hollywood also is reporting that Smith was intubated at the scene.
Officials told the Miami Herald, "it does not look good."
Am I not correct in my understanding that it is already settled under their law...the father is the man named on the birth certificate? Period. End of story. That is what I've heard, and it appears to be why Stern believes he has pulled off this baby snatching as long as he is shielded by Bahamian law.
How do you know? If it isn't true, why do they keep saying so on tv? LOL
It would have been recorded and the hospital does that. It's just a bit unusual to have a copy for yourself at this point. I don't have a copy of my kids and never did.
You mean Munroe? (I need to back-read some, sorry.)
If that's who you mean, no - he's the one who took the place of the original Bahamas ANS attorney, Michael Scott, who quit over the "commitment ceremony" and the way ANS was behaving after Daniel's death.
She owed him $113,000, which he was trying to collect to no avail. Good luck to Munroe.
Except....Stern may soon be homeless and has no job in the Bahamas. He can either leave Dannilynn there or take her with him. I think the court filing was so he can't choose option #2.
And who knew they were there - and where precisely all the other items were? HKS, that's who! And who was around to do his bidding? His sis and mom, that's who!
No one has mentioned insurance policies. That amazes me. The baby might not be the "object" of Stern's affection. Watch what the left hand is doing.
No... he is only presumed the father until someone contests it.
Last night I posted what the laws were on paternity. See Birkhead was trying to prove that Anna was not truely a citizen of the Bahama's because the house was not really in Anna's name. A child born in the Bahama's is not automatically a citizen unless one of the parents are a citizen of the country. In this case Anna became a citizen under false info which she gave the government. Once you are a citizen then yes the baby would be considered a citizen then also. Birkhead was trying to prove that since Anna was not truly a citizen of the Bahama's then the baby was also not a citizen. As it stands due to her timely death and with Thompson still fighting to prove he owns the house, thus making Anna and baby not citizen's of the Bahama's. Then Birkhead has no choice but to go there and challenge Stern's presumed fatherhood of the child. Like I said the law is he is presumed the father until it is challenged by another man. At this point the baby is consider a Bahama citizen until they can work out who really owns the house.
I'm only repeating what I heard one of his lawyers say...or was it a lawyer for Anna Nicole's estate?...anyway, this guy said Stern WANTS to stay in the Bahamas because their law will protect his claim to be the baby's legal father. On the other hand, I just was posted to that Bahamian law will not protect him from Larry Burkett's lawsuit to prove paternity of ANS's baby. So confusing.
You have to read the Bahama laws... I will go back and find the post I did last night.
They still have to show that ANS and HKS fraudulently obtained ANS's citizen status, however. Everything that proceeded from that is fruit of a poison tree.
Well, Thompson for sure owns the house. I heard a thorough discussion of THAT. On Greta, I believe. That side of the equation says when that is established, very soon, they will evict Stern from the house. That event will also prove Anna was not a citizen of the Bahamas, and Stern sure as heck isn't. If all of that does come down on his head, he might well choose to flee with the baby, so that would make the order that he keep her where she is much more understandable to me. However, he has his spinners on who claim he is in this unassailable position re: the baby. Maybe Stern is the one getting poor advice.
But he's not, if ANS's citizen status was obtained fraudulently, which it was. As to HKS's Bahamian status, who knows whether he got the same treatment - he wasn't even a "co-owner" of the threshold $500,000 home that they didn't really own, anyway.
Dannielynn is the one who is the respected citizen, for now.
No insurance has been mentioned because the only one who knows anything about ANS's affairs is the one doing the talking and he's got his own agenda.

CITIZENSHIP
The Bahamas Constitution and the Bahamas Nationality Act, 1973, detail the acquisition and loss of citizenship. Persons born in The Bahamas before July 10, 1973, or outside The Bahamas to a Bahamian father became Bahamian Citizens on Independence Day, July 10, 1973, as did most persons registered as a citizen of The Bahamas under the British Nationality Act of 1948. Persons born in The Bahamas after Independence are citizens if either parent is a Bahamian citizen and are entitled to register as a citizen if born here, subject to interests of national security or public policy, by making application within 12 months after his or her 18th birthday. Persons born legitimately outside The Bahamas after July 9, 1973 to a Bahamian mother and illegitimate children born outside The Bahamas to Bahamian women are entitled to apply between the ages of 18 and 21 years subject to interests of national security or public policy. Any woman married to a Bahamian is entitled to be registered as a citizen upon application provided she is still married to that person and subject to interests of national security or public policy.
Others who are not entitled to be registered or naturalized by virtue of an existing status may apply for citizenship under the Nationality Act. Residence for a period, English proficiency and the intention to make The Bahamas a permanent home are among the qualifications.
RESIDENCY
Annual Residency
A head of household pays $1,000 plus $25 per dependent. Applicants for annual residency status must show evidence of financial support.
Male spouses of Bahamians pay a one time fee of $250 with no charges for dependents, and with proper documentation, may work here on a spousal permit.
Permanent Residency
Those who wish to settle in The Bahamas by investing in property, retiring here or opening a business usually apply for this status. Accelerated consideration for Permanent Residency can be obtained with a minimum property investment of $500,000. Applicants must be of good character, show evidence of financial support, and say in writing that they wish to live permanently in The Bahamas. Wives and dependent children (under age 18) usually resident in a household can be endorsed on the certificate when the original application is made or later, subject to conditions which may be made by the Immigration Board.
Persons with this status prior to the Immigration Act (1975) continue to hold the status automatically. Spouses of Bahamians can receive a Certificate of Permanent Residence with the right to engage in gainful employment at any time for females and after five years of marriage for males. Spousal permits may be obtained in the meantime at a cost of $250. Permanent residency can be revoked for cause including divorce. Cost of Permanent Residence is $10,000 before issuance, with endorsements free.
Well, also the lawsuit to prove up the ownership of Horizons is Ben Thompson's goes to court either later this month (I want to say 2/27, the fake date HKS's sis gave differently from his 2/23) or in early March, then it will all be moot.
What would be incredible, is Stern being arrested for Daniels' death. I pay a few bucks to see a pic of him doing the perp walk!
With his sister insisting so adamantly this evening that Dannielynn's life is in danger and she has to be hidden from kidnappers, I'm guessing we just got a preview of the "next" fork in the road!
