Anna Nicole Smith collapsed in her hotel room at the Hard Rock Cafe and Casino in Hollywood, Fla., and was rushed to a hospital on Thursday. A Hollywood, Fla., fire department spokesman told MSNBC TV that the actress was unresponsive when the rescue unit arrived on the scene.
Sources confirmed to Access Hollywood that Smith was transported to Memorial Regional Hospital shortly after 2 p.m. EST on Thursday. Access Hollywood also is reporting that Smith was intubated at the scene.
Officials told the Miami Herald, "it does not look good."
It's just getting started.

Anna Nicole Smith's mother was in the Bahamas Friday to check on the welfare of her 5-month-old granddaughter, a police official in the island chain said. Reginald Ferguson, assistant commissioner for the Royal Bahamas Police Force, said Vergie Arthur believes her granddaughter is in Nassau but he could not confirm the child's whereabouts.
"I don't know what her expectations were, but I had to advise her to seek legal counsel to find out what course of action she can take," Ferguson told The Associated Press after a brief meeting with Arthur at his office.
Dannielynn was left behind when Smith traveled to Florida and is reportedly being cared for by the family of Bahamian Immigration Minister Shane Gibson, a friend of Smith's.
A black pickup on Friday carried a crib and an infant's car seat from the Bahamas mansion Smith had been living in to Gibson's mother's house. When the unidentified driver spotted a reporter, he sped away. Gibson's mother would not come to the door of the house. Later, a crying baby could be heard inside the house. Gibson did not return calls seeking comment.
