Anna Nicole Smith collapsed in her hotel room at the Hard Rock Cafe and Casino in Hollywood, Fla., and was rushed to a hospital on Thursday. A Hollywood, Fla., fire department spokesman told MSNBC TV that the actress was unresponsive when the rescue unit arrived on the scene.
Sources confirmed to Access Hollywood that Smith was transported to Memorial Regional Hospital shortly after 2 p.m. EST on Thursday. Access Hollywood also is reporting that Smith was intubated at the scene.
Officials told the Miami Herald, "it does not look good."
You are right. He did it to the ex-bodyguard, but IIRC he treated Shelley with some similar disdain too. Anybody remember it differently?
That's kind of creepy. The transcript, I mean. These are very strange people.
Whew! This is getting way too convoluted!
I agree with that, too. Negligent homicide, accidental or suicide.
How ironic. He was always the dude in the background. Now he's the dude in the foreground!
OK-did Housekeeping ever go in the room. Will all these people in and out and ice baths and whatnot, looks like they would need the beds to be freshly made, trash emptied, towels, etc.
I'm pretty sure he did. Either he said so himself (Perper) or I heard Dr. Baden say he would certainly do so.
Me either.
Several weeks ago, I did some research on Lomotil (anti-diarrheal prescription) overdose. With all the Gatorade, grapefruit and drugs ANS was on, she probably had a prescription for the Lomotil.
Some of the listed symptoms:
Drowsiness, confusion, flushed skin, rapid heartbeat, hyperthermia, respiratory depression, and coma among others.
(just thought I would throw something else into the mix)
Oh, who knows? By innocuous, I mean it was something having nothing to do with Anna's dying, at the time. Wrong choice of word on my part. If I got a phone call from my lawyer, telling me about yet another lawsuit, I'd be upset.

Glad you posted that! I remembered that info, and have been confused (again) as to just when Anna had that high fever. Was it in the Bahama's shortly before leaving for FLorida, or was it at the Hard Rock? Or was it both? I don't think, (but don't know) Moe was with Anna and Howard in the Bahamas prior to leaving for Florida. I'd assumed he was in FL. all along. This is probably another case of either misreporting or someone misspeaking.
No, he's not retracted it. When he said this was a complex medical case, I take him at his word.
Well, it could be....
They did say she was suffering from the stomach flu so she could have been over-dosing on anti-diarrheal meds.
Will there be some sort of official prize if a FReeper has posted the cause of death in advance? :)
substitues-substitutes
AbsoANNAlutely! I've even tossed around the thought that perhaps she was bulimic, as well.
One of the meds she was on at some point was listed here earlier, It began with "carb.....". Not sure if it was an anti-seizure drug, but some of those drugs can have nasty effects similar to her symptoms- either in combo with grapefruit, other meds, illnesses, allergic reactions.... There is no lack of things to cause death in her case.
Somewhere upstream someone posted a timeline or a link to a timeline. I haven't looked at it yet. I'd help you look but i gotta run off right now. It was posted either yesterday or the day before. Think yesterday morning....
LOL we are all in trouble if you can overdose on computer activity.
I'm way behind on this thread and this might have been mentioned already. In regards to Ford Shelly committing robbery at Horizons house: Ford was interviewd by Greta about his meeting with Stern and Birkhead. The meeting where Stern had his lawyers present but Shelly and Birkhead did not. Ford was hesitant about revealing too much about that meeting, but at the very end of the interview Ford said he wanted to add one thing that came out of that meeting was Stern agreed Ford did not committ robbery of the Horizon house.
