Anna Nicole Smith collapsed in her hotel room at the Hard Rock Cafe and Casino in Hollywood, Fla., and was rushed to a hospital on Thursday. A Hollywood, Fla., fire department spokesman told MSNBC TV that the actress was unresponsive when the rescue unit arrived on the scene.
Sources confirmed to Access Hollywood that Smith was transported to Memorial Regional Hospital shortly after 2 p.m. EST on Thursday. Access Hollywood also is reporting that Smith was intubated at the scene.
Officials told the Miami Herald, "it does not look good."
Yeah, that's one of my round-about points. Very round-about:)I certainly don't know much about contract law, so I'm not positive how her death impacted that particular contract. Here's one example I'm thinking of: my husband and I have a mortgage. He's the primary breadwinner, and if he passed away, I'm still responsible for that mortgage and that mortgage is not rewritten just because he died. (Heaven forbid!) Now, that's real estate law, but is also contract law.
P.S.- I will happily be corrected if there are any contract law experts out there!
Milstein was lazy - he left HK$'s and ET's funeral plans in place, since that was Seidlin's deal from the get-go.
Funeral in the Bahamas - Seidlin wouldn't let Billy Smith testify that he intended to have Daniel brought back to the US - that would have blown apart the "Anna wanted to be near Daniel" crap.
I despise that judge - he is either the laziest, dumbest or most corrupt POS in this whole saga.
I take it the GAL's sole duty was to represent Dannielynn re: custody of Anna's remains. His role is finished and he has nothing to do with any other legal issues, am I correct?
I suppose another GAL (whether it be he or someone else) could be appointed, if needed, for another court proceeding. Hopefully the biological father will play that role, soon.
Let's review.
The contract for the funeral had to be between HK$ and ET (I'm sure Anna did not have her own funeral plans under contract)
HK$ has not yet been confirmed as the executor of ANS estate in any probate court - nor was he appointed as Dannielyn's guardian - as far as the disposition of ANS' body.
That is why Seidlin appointed the GAL, Milstein - window dressing.
The GAL must have either been a party to the ET contract - or - HK$ overstepped his authority.
Either way - Virgie should be mad as hell - and be able to get some sort of justice.
I still have the opinion that the utmost concern should have been Dannielynn and her well-being,rather than worrying about the location of someone who is deceased.
I thought I heard something like a GAL was assigned in the Bahamas?
HKS can't even say for certain where the original copy of the will is, can he?
It's great that big Moe is telling the truth now. But i wouldn't be so quick to give him the props. He may be cutting a deal to save his own a$$.

That's because you are a human being.
Only lawyers permitted in this fiasco.
Oh you bet your sweet Aspercreme she is. (that's from an actual Aspercreme commercial in case you didn't know)
But I've watched and listened to Moe, and like I said, I believe he really, really ..cared about Anna. More so than Howard did.
I hope he comes out of this unscathed.
sw
OMG! You really think so? I doubt that even ET would stoop that low. wait....i'm having second thoughts now.
Big time whoops! I meant that as a reply to your idea that maybe Howie and ET had done the deal for the funeral before she died.
To review, this is what Moe told Greta previously
---------------------------------------------
Greta: On Feb 8, thats the day she died, do you remember what time you woke up?
Moe: Yeah, um, I decided to sleep in the room, there was an open room there and I knew she wasnt feeling well. And Howard and her asked me, hey, can you just stay over? and I said No problem. So I stayed that night prior on the 7th, and woke up the next morning, around, I dont know .9:30-10:00 and I went in the room to check on them.
Greta: All right. Stop right there. Whos sleeping in the suite at this point, its Anna and Howard?
Moe: Anna and Howard.
Greta: Theyre in one room in the suite?
Moe: Theyre in the one room in the suite.
Greta: Theyre sharing a room?
Moe: Yes
Greta: All right, now wheres Kris at this point?
Moe: Kris had went back to L.A. the day before on the 7th. Thats why the room was open. She was there on the 5th and 6th and then she left to go back to her own practice on the 7th.
Greta: All right, so you were there, and who else was there?
Moe: On the 7th. Just me
Greta: Just you. All right sometime late morning, early afternoon, somebody noticed that she was in terrible distress.
Moe: Uh, we was uh you talking about
Greta: Thursday .the day she died
Moe: OK, when I woke up, I went in a checked with her.
Greta: She seemed how?
Moe: She was ..I saw her moving around a little bit. She seemed tired, she was sleeping. I mean, she dont wake up .she, she her, her routine was ..especially since her son died, is sleep for a couple of hours, wake up for a couple hours, and move around, eat, watch TV or whatever and then go back to sleep. So I figured that she was just tired. I said Look .I stuck my head in and said, Look Im going downstairs to eat .. well eat breakfast with my wife. Ill be back up. Because I knew Howard had to go get the boat, because the day prior Anna was like .Can you go get our boat so we can ride back? Cause we all was gonna I was gonna ride back with them.
Greta: They were taking delivery of their boat?
Moe: Yes. We was gonna, we was gonna get the boat and then go back to the Bahamas, to her new house thats being built, to dock it in her dock. She had her own dock back there. So Howard went, after I ate my breakfast, I came back upstairs and Howard along with the captain, King Eric, who is Shane Gibsons dad, came over to captain the boat, to help go back. And uh, I had to leave, you know, I had to leave to do an errand for about 20 mins so I asked my wife to just sit there, cause I knew she wasnt feeling well. I asked her, if she needed something to drink or she needed help going to the bathroom, can you help her?. She was like No problem, cause Anna knew my whole family like that. And about 5 minutes into it, well not 5 minutes but about 15 minutes after uh . I think it was 15 minutes, yeah it was about 15 minutes, 10 or 15 minutes I called my wife to check about her.
Greta: What time was this about?
Moe: I cant tell you the time. I cant remember exactly the time
.Im just saying 15 minutes after I left
..I called and checked on her, and said Hows she doing? and she said, Oh shes still sleeping. And I said, Oh, Ok. And then I went on doing what I was doing and about 5 minutes after that I got a frantic call from my wife, saying hurry up, get back, somethings wrong with Anna. I dont think shes breathing. Im over here trying to breath for her. Im over here doing CPR
Remember though, Sod, the FL Court of Appeals upheld Seidlin's ruling as being the correct one, even though they didn't agree with his method of arriving at that ruling. Billy Smith held little to no credibility in having any standing in Seidlin's court, which I agreed with.
I admit, I'm trying hard to be neutral in my opinions of all the players and trying to be objective. I also admit I don't trust Virgie completely, and can see how her last minute attempts at thwarting the funeral were the straw that broke the camel's back, for some involved. If it had been me, I might have lost it and lashed out at her, too. I would have tried to hold back until after the funeral, but don't know that I could have.
Rule #6: No member of The Firm shall keep their thoughts to themselves.
Billy Smith held little to no credibility in having any standing in Seidlin's court:

Billy Smith is the biological father of Daniel - and as the closest living relative of a US citizen, buried on foreign soil, he should have had standing and been allowed to testify.
He was not allowed to make his case.
That is the travesty!
Yeah, but HKS still benefits as executor/trustee, right? I know we want more, like HKS behind bars, but let's hope, at the very least, he gets ousted from his executor position like this: Heiress Duke's Ex-Butler Ousted as Estate's Executor
Anyway, as we can see from the Duke case, lots of legal wrangling still ahead.
On a personal note, my uncle just told me he was naming me as executor in his will. I hope he wins lotto! :)
You're right. My main question is this: was that contract with ET ONLY with Anna or was it with both Anna and HKS? We don't know, do we?
Ethics in tabloid TV seem nonexistant, to put it mildly.
