Anna Nicole Smith has died according to ABC News

Posted on 02/08/2007 12:39:03 PM PST by kcvl

Anna Nicole Smith collapsed in her hotel room at the Hard Rock Cafe and Casino in Hollywood, Fla., and was rushed to a hospital on Thursday. A Hollywood, Fla., fire department spokesman told MSNBC TV that the actress was unresponsive when the rescue unit arrived on the scene.

Sources confirmed to Access Hollywood that Smith was transported to Memorial Regional Hospital shortly after 2 p.m. EST on Thursday. Access Hollywood also is reporting that Smith was intubated at the scene.

Officials told the Miami Herald, "it does not look good."

According to MSNBC, Stern, Bikhead and Arthur spoke about Smith as they knew her. However, Stern reportedly went off the usual track when he brought up the delay in her burial.

"These so-called family members, the judges, the lawyers, the media, anyone who caused a delay in her burial, that is absolutely disrespectful" Stern reportedly said while on the stand.

After he said this, Arthur reportedly broke down in tears and a row of guests stood up and clapped in support.

Yvonne Gibson, the sister of former Immigration Minister Shane Gibson - whom the Guardian did not see entering or leaving the funeral - described the service as a "somber" but "beautiful" one with a painting of Smith at the altar of the church.

Former senator Rubyanne Darling, who played the organ at the church service, said service had good Baptist singing and the church was decorated beautifully in pink roses, which guests were seen leaving with after the service.

Some of the creme de la creme of Bahamian entertainers like King Eric and his knights including Jay Mitchell paid tribute to Smith with songs like "Precious Lord" while country singer Joe Nichols reportedly sang one of Anna's favorite songs "On the Wings of a Dove".

At the end of the ceremony, Stern, Arthur and Birkhead lined the red carpet as Smith's body was lifted past them and into the waiting white hearse, with East Sunrise Mortuary printed on it, before it was ushered to the graveside.

Hundreds of spectators, local and international, were among the throngs of media members, vendors and policemen at the Lakeview Memorial Gardens & Mausoleums. Her coffin was ushered into the compound to the sound of bystanders singing the well-known funeral hymn "It is Finished".

The massive crowd cheered as Birkhead, one of the best known figures in the Anna Nicole Smith saga, exited one of the one dozen white limousines that carried the nearly 30 people who were allowed to the graveside interment.

"I think the latter."

I tend that direction, too. It would be very difficult to respond with just the "right" answer in an interview unless you'd been doing it most of your life.

Very true. Every family is different. I have three sons and their grandparents are very involved in all of their lives. We are all very close. They would maintain a relationship with or without me. But if I was holding their purse-strings and disallowed my kids from ever seeing/speaking to their grandparents I wonder what they all would do? I think they'd all go behind my back and defy me! LOL!

But I guess I just don't have what Anna had. It's not "IT'S ALL WHAT REDGIRL WOULD WANT" around here!

IWAWW - It's what Anna would want!

Anna Nicole's partner Howard Stern will be the lead witness at the inquest.

because updating the Will is more involved than updating insurance policies. Life insurance policies can be updated by mail or fax. Maybe Stern asked Rale for a copy of the Will so he could update it and maybe Rale had not gotten around to it yet.

Listen we are not going figure out what really happened - we don't even know for sure if the insurance policies exist or not... I can find a reason to counter everything you think about and we could go on for days like this.

If the policies exist - not one of us can say she did or did not know about them. There is a good indication that she did know about them because Daniel's name was listed first. It's not a case of Daniel gets 50% and Stern gets 50% - which normally is an option when you fill these policies out. They ask for percentages...

1st Beneficiary (if Daniel is alive)
Daniel 100%

2nd Beneficiary (if Daniel is dead)
Stern 100%

or it could be...

1st Beneficiary (if both are alive)
Daniel 50% - Stern 50%

2nd Beneficiary (if Stern is dead)
Daniel 100%

3rd Beneficiary (if Daniel is dead)
Stern 100%

True. But then again every time her lawyer tried to say something the judge told him to "sit down, you're thru Texas."

It was awful. I think the way her lawyers were treated also affected the way everyone's (not ours, but the media's) opinion of Virgie was shaped.

Should Billy Smith contact his congressman or the governor to ask if they will intervene on his behalf?

Imho, unless a crime has been committed, it would be a waste of time for Billy Smith to contact any of our government officials.

Anna is Daniels mother, it appears that Billy Smith has been out of the picture for some time and from what we know of him does not have a legal leg to stand on.

Currently all three members of that Marshall family are buried together, J. Howard Marshall, Vickie Lynn Marshall and Daniel Smith.

But he had 5 months to do it. I won't bug you anymore about this. I sense you're getting upset with me. We have different minds trying to analyze a million factors in this case and everyone surely has a slightly different theory of what they think happened.

My understanding is that he still kept in contact with his Grandmother. There is no proof he did not do it behind his mother's back. Maybe Daniel was drinking Anna's & Stern's Anna Land Kook-Aid also.

It comes in... Anna Banana Red, Gosh I'm Gay Grape, Stern Psycho Strawberry, Boobie Blueberry, Larry Lemon (Stern picked that name)

agreed - but you have to understand life insurance policies are not probated, everything else would be. Like I said I'm sure it was Stern's "To Do List" but they both were too preoccupied with cashing in on Daniel's Death, Baby's Birth, Screwing over Thompson and Larry, and having a fake Wedding.

The first thing I would grab and change are the insurance policies they are the easiest to change and update. Then I would have the Will done if I was sitting like fat toad in the Bahamas.

Turn around is fair play.

While everyone is slamming Vergie for her failure in raising her daughter and grandson.

Let us ask ourselves; "What kind of dysfunctional family raised the cretin Howard K. Stern?" Mmmmmmmmmmmmm?????????

Right. Could have been the Marshall millions hanging over everyone's head.... even Daniel's. Anna had that power to wield over him too.

Also from the article: "Asked if the courts in The Bahamas had ever decided to exhume a body after a petition similar to that of Billy Smith's, the judge said: "Its very, very rare that we get this kind of petition, especially by a civilian."

Wrong question - should have asked "what about a US citizen asking to exhume the body of his son, also a US citizen and a resident of the Bahamas for 2 days?"

a resident of the Bahamas for 2 days?"

________

Exactly. I think it was even less than 24 hours! Got to the hospital in the late evening and died before 9:30 AM I think. He should have never been buried there. We know ANS tried to bury him in CA. Wonder how hard HKS really tried?

Yes, OBs will perform C-sections because the mother wants them to. If she's paying cash, of course the doctor will, after telling her of all risks. If she's on insurance, the doctor needs a reason, of which there are many.

Some even ample women have small internal pelvises (the size of the pelvis around the birth canal might not correlate to the size of the hips). When the baby's head looks large on the ultrasound, this can be a reason for a C-section.

Breech presentation of the baby, the mother EVER having had herpes, a previous C-section, the mother's age, all could be reasons to perform a C that would be acceptable to insurance companies.

I commented before - that it probably cost too much to send Daniel's body back to the US - additionally, ANS & HKS wanted to avoid the paternity case being served if they entered the US.

Everything they did, or failed to do, was for the benefit of ANS & ultimately HK$.

Well Stern may have been raised in a good family but that's not to say that there is no mental illiness in his family.

I think Stern & Anna were 2 of the same type of person, (they fed off of each other) except Stern was book smart (well more than Anna) and they both knew how to use people. (They remind me of those traveling gypsys to a T).
I am sure that they sat around for many hours during their partnership together figuring out how they could screw over someone. If you ask me Stern & Anna were not romantic partners in life, they were life partners committed to screwing over people. They were always looking for a legal way to pull off their screwing over of others. The problem is Stern was not any good at it, he was sloppy and left way to many loose ties.

Good find TK
"The Bahamas should also provide adequate resources to its law enforcement, prosecutorial and judicial entities to ensure that investigations and prosecutions are satisfactorily completed and request for international cooperation are efficiently processed."
