Posted on 02/08/2007 12:39:03 PM PST by kcvl

Anna Nicole Smith collapsed in her hotel room at the Hard Rock Cafe and Casino in Hollywood, Fla., and was rushed to a hospital on Thursday. A Hollywood, Fla., fire department spokesman told MSNBC TV that the actress was unresponsive when the rescue unit arrived on the scene.

Sources confirmed to Access Hollywood that Smith was transported to Memorial Regional Hospital shortly after 2 p.m. EST on Thursday. Access Hollywood also is reporting that Smith was intubated at the scene.

Officials told the Miami Herald, "it does not look good."

ET has been repulsive in their coverage.

You know that it really appears to me that ET is and has been making light of those people, and especially currently.

However HKS and ANS willingly participated for the money and 15 minutes of fame if that.

Just a step above or perhaps below the Jerry Springer show.

I saw a picture of him with his parents. His father is quite elderly. I found it very sad at that stage in his life he'd be supporting his deadbeat son.

Howard has been on the gravy train and in the spotlight for quite a while. Maybe his parents could manage to spend all of their money in a retirement home...

You know if Virgie ever asked Anna for money it was when Virgie was raising Daniel. I think Anna was a very controlling person and she could not deal with Daniel looking up to his grandmother. Once Anna got Daniel living with her again I think Anna was jealous of the relationship that Daniel had with his grandmother. Grandma probably wanted to see Daniel and Anna eventually refused because Daniel surely would have spoken innocently with grandma about the things that were going on in his life while he was with his mother now. Virgie probably confronted Anna time and time again about how she was living and exposing her young son to... things a child should not be exposed to. The only way Anna could get mommy off her back was to shut mom out of her and Daniel's life. - Anna needed some excuse to justify why she was doing this to her mother. So out comes the BS stories. Anna liked her lifestyle and drugs. If no one agreed with how Anna was living then Anna shut them out of her life. She did it to Larry and she would have done it to Stern if the man had any spine in him. We all know Stern did not have any spine, he was the enabler in her life.

Adding...

Anna needed some excuse to justify why she was doing this to her mother. So out comes the BS stories. The more she told them and the more people she told them to the more the story became real to Anna and her enabler friends. (like huge vacuuming effect - they got sucked in to Anna's world)

If Stern was trying to cover his butt and really wanted to get the will and policies updated, but was too busy to do it himself (making money off Daniel and Dannielynn as you say) he could've easily gotten someone else to do it for him. UNLESS, he didn't want anyone to know the policies existed AND didn't want the will updated.

In Anna's state of mind at the time, I doubt she was playing the "No Howard, i don't want tooooo" card. She would've said, "go ahead and get it done somehow but don't bother me and if you need my signature i'll be right here in bed"

I hear Stern is going to market a special blend of "Anna Land Kook-Aid" (like Kool-Aid) that is enhanced with a secret special blend of prescription drugs courtesy of Dr. Kapoooo.

'"We were all given equal amount of time and that's how he chose to spend his time. I wouldn't have used my time that way. ... It doesn't make anything better," Birkhead said.'

LB is either well coached or well reared.

ET is one of the sponsors of the "Anna Land Kook-Aid". They are addicted to it big time.

The policies needed updating - Stern of all people knew this and the insurance policies would be at the top of his list because they are not subjected to probate -

But how would it look if the policies were updated, but the will wasn't?

How can everyone ignore the fact that ANS allowed Virgie to raise her precious Daniel for 1/3 of his life!? She couldn't have been so bad.

On the other hand, playing devil's advocate for a minute and just throwing this out for discussion purposes. What if some of the stuff ANS said about Virgie and the lifestyle she had with her was true? Then leaving Daniel in that environment for all those years, means ANS was not such a good mother after all, right? Then it means that she was more concerned about herself and her career than the well-being of Daniel.

What worries me a bit is that Daniel, once he was 16, 17, 18, an adult, did not --- on his own --- seek out a relationship with Virgie, his grandmother who raised him for all those years. Correct me if I am wrong, but Virgie said she sent him cards and a few bucks on his birthdays. She probably sent him her phone number and asked him to call her etc... She didn't mention that Daniel ever called her, wrote to her or asked to visit her or sought out a relationship with her. A little sad.

I am not sure how to interpret that. What do you all think? Is my understanding of their relationship correct? I am guessing, that it might be that ANS demanded no contact and Daniel just acquiesced since ANS held his purse strings too.

Curious what the other ANNAmaniacs think.....

I think the latter. I think he is a Southern Gentleman... who was mesmerized and sucked into the ANS situation.

I'd go with a little of both "well coached" and "well reared". We don't know, but we can assume, that Birkie didn't know what Howards remarks were going to be. If Howard let Birkie see his remarks in advance, he would've wanted to see Birkies remarks in exchange. We know how Howie operates? Everythings a deal.

Had Howard known that Larry's eulogy was going to be warm, loving, caring, etc, Howard would've tried to outdo that.

Who's the idiot that wrote that eulogy of Howards? Howard? Without any advice from his lawyers? I don't think his lawyers "would've wanted him" to say what he did. It only made him look more meanspirited (being nice today).

We need a poll.

Are you a Grandmother?
How many daughters, sons?
Any step children?
Any step grandchildren?
Ages?
How many phone calls a year?
etc., etc.,
I would bet Virgie is not unusual in many respects. That her daughter fell into the "Hollywood Cesspool" is unusual.

Daniel's father wants son exhumed

By RAYMOND KONGWA, Guardian Senior Reporter

Chief Magistrate Roger Gomez has confirmed that Daniel Smith's father made a petition for his body to be exhumed and returned to Texas, but said such requests were granted only in "extenuating circumstances" .

Entertainment news portal TMZ.com reported Thursday, just hours before Daniel's mother, Anna Nicole Smith, was buried next to him in a cemetery here, that lawyers for Billy Smith made the petition before the judge.

"He wants the body to be exhumed and sent back to Limestone, Texas," Gomez said in an interview with the Guardian yesterday, adding: "No hearing for the petition has been set."

Noting that such a request for exhumation was unlikely to be granted under ordinary circumstances, the judge said the court would consider the sanctity of burial when making a decision.

"There have to be very extenuating circumstances to permit a request for a body to be exhumed," said Gomez. "We would be mindful not to unduly interfere with someone's burial."

If the court was minded to grant Smith's wish to have his son buried in Limestone, Texas, it would not be until after the coroner's inquest into Daniel's death, Gomez explained. The inquest is set down for hearing on March 26. The Chief Magistrate said he would likely preside over the inquest.

"Even if it was found Daniel's body should be exhumed and sent to Texas, we wouldn't allow that before the completion of the inquest," he said. "There is the possibility that the coroner might order his body exhumed to help determine cause of death."

Asked if the courts in The Bahamas had ever decided to exhume a body after a petition similar to that of Billy Smith's, the judge said: "Its very, very rare that we get this kind of petition, especially by a civilian."

The Chief Magistrate said as many as 40 witnesses were expected to testify at the inquest, including former Immigration Minister Shane Gibson, who visited Anna Nicole's room at Doctor's Hospital maternity ward the day (Sep.10) Daniel died in the same room. Anna Nicole's partner Howard Stern will be the lead witness at the inquest.

Daniel was 20 when he died. A celebrity pathologist hired by Anna Nicole said Daniel died as a result of a lethal prescription drug cocktail.

I think it was more likely the dress designer who thought up the coffin cover. Since he couldn't get his dress displayed he did the next best thing. Although, IMO, he did himself no favors with that gaudy, tacky, talentless design.

Hmm. Interesting remark there. Should Billy Smith contact his congressman or the governor to ask if they will intervene on his behalf?

I think her lawyers didn't really present her side of the case as sympathetically as they could have.

True. But then again every time her lawyer tried to say something the judge told him to "sit down, you're thru Texas."
