Anna Nicole Smith has died according to ABC News

Anna Nicole Smith collapsed in her hotel room at the Hard Rock Cafe and Casino in Hollywood, Fla., and was rushed to a hospital on Thursday. A Hollywood, Fla., fire department spokesman told MSNBC TV that the actress was unresponsive when the rescue unit arrived on the scene.

Sources confirmed to Access Hollywood that Smith was transported to Memorial Regional Hospital shortly after 2 p.m. EST on Thursday. Access Hollywood also is reporting that Smith was intubated at the scene.

Officials told the Miami Herald, "it does not look good."

"Poor Anna Nicole, a trashy life, and a sleazy death, and in the end a horrible, tasteless funeral. All of it awful, but somehow fitting.

She may have envied Marilyn Monroe, but her funeral was more Jerry Springer than old-time Hollywood as the crowd booed her estranged mother, Virgie Arthur, in her cheap, plus-size black dress and matching shoes.

So much for respect for the dead. The windswept Bahamian churchyard became a Roman amphitheater as the mob bayed for the waddling Virgie Arthur's blood and made a thumbs-down gesture.

But they cheered as their champion gladiator, Anna Nicole's former lover Larry Birkhead, flashed his biggest boy-band smile.

During the hour-long service at the Bahamas' Mount Horeb Baptist Church, Birkhead, Stern and Arthur took turns for their dramatic closeups, each saccharine-sweet speech filled with camera-ready sound bites.

The blond pinup boy broke down before passing the baton to Stern, the next competitor in this bizarre funeral relay team.

'You were my rock and now my heart is empty," said Stern, unable to resist a snarky reference to his lover's relatives as "so-called family members.'

In one of the most dramatic moments in a day of appallingly bad theater, his supporters leaped to their feet and applauded."

I have been ANS thread deprived for a bit and haven't gone back to read what's happened on here, so forgive me if this has already been posted, but I wanted to say that I thought that the Bravo presentation (a Splash production!) was a good one as it showed footage I hadn't seen anywhere else.

Also, did anyone mention this little bit of interesting information from the show -- that Larry Birkhead and ANS's son Daniel had the same birthday? Fellow Aquarians, Arizona Carolyn!

I think O'Quinn actually saw the policies. I believe they were taken in the "break in" He said that they were paid up and in effect. I also think that ANS never knew about the policies. You can buy insurance on the net and if you are youngish, they don't require an exam. I just bought mine (and I ain't youngish LOL) but am in good health with no doctor visits (hardly at all). All I had to do was furnish them with answers to medical questions and give them bank info. I was only eligible for 100 thou (without an exam) but a younger person can get up to 500 thou. So HKS could have gotten them posing as her on the net and had it all set up. He could have figured that the way she was going, he knew that her death was inevitable (short term span)

Well O'Quinn is saying that Daniel was the first beneficiary on all of them and Howard was the second beneficiary. So the policies had to be taken out before Daniel died so Anna probably knew about them because Daniel was the first beneficiary on them.

I'm sure Anna knew about them. If the beneficiary is Daniel, that's one thing. If it is "Danielynn", that's another thing AND...then there should be an updated will.

One thing is for certain, Howard said that all the important legal papers were taken FROM THE CLOSET SHELF. If those policies were among them, then Howard is like so totally "caught"....Perjury.

IIRC Howard said that Anna didn't even know how to write a check. That means that he was doing ALL the paying.

Nobody made her a designer dress for the FUNeral. I guess they've forgotten that ANS used to model plus-size clothes...

I am thinking that they were in the closet and possibly in a fire box. It could be that Stern was gathering up everything so that the changes that were needed could be done after Daniel dead. Those policies would have needed updating with Dannielynn's name put in to place where Daniel's name was. It could be that Stern was trying to get things in order, but they were to preoccupied with making money off the death of Daniel & Dannielynn's birth.
