Anna Nicole Smith has died according to ABC News

Anna Nicole Smith collapsed in her hotel room at the Hard Rock Cafe and Casino in Hollywood, Fla., and was rushed to a hospital on Thursday. A Hollywood, Fla., fire department spokesman told MSNBC TV that the actress was unresponsive when the rescue unit arrived on the scene.

Sources confirmed to Access Hollywood that Smith was transported to Memorial Regional Hospital shortly after 2 p.m. EST on Thursday. Access Hollywood also is reporting that Smith was intubated at the scene.

Officials told the Miami Herald, "it does not look good."

Is it possible to get viral pneumonia from a near drowning "accident"?

My husband had a near drowning accident several years ago and for awhile they didn't know if he'd make it. He was in the hospital for a few days. (and no, i had nothing to do with it. He tried to swim the length of a lake when he didn't know how to swim)

Well to begin with most funerals are more somber and they don't have streamers hanging off the casket. Or runways for the casket to enter.

I don't know - am sure that is possible. But Viral Pneumonia - surely has some of the same symptoms as bacterial pneumonia: coughing, shortness of breath, wheezing, and it shows up in xrays and/or in how the lungs look - as Perper said the other day. It can be SEEN during the regular autopsy by examining the lungs. He didn't see it.

So that's why he is saying this is a "complex medical situation" - sounds like he is saying - if it is pneumonia - that he missed it in the initial autopsy - but he will give some explanation for "missing" the pneumonia the first time around....if that's the "cause" given.

Besides a pink-feathered casket, I would say that the eulogy delivered by HK$ was over-the-top, in that it had no business at this funeral. Now that you say it, it IS interesting, isn't it, that it was HK$'s friends, the two husbands, who were the one's billing it as....over-the-top.
