Anna Nicole Smith collapsed in her hotel room at the Hard Rock Cafe and Casino in Hollywood, Fla., and was rushed to a hospital on Thursday. A Hollywood, Fla., fire department spokesman told MSNBC TV that the actress was unresponsive when the rescue unit arrived on the scene.
Sources confirmed to Access Hollywood that Smith was transported to Memorial Regional Hospital shortly after 2 p.m. EST on Thursday. Access Hollywood also is reporting that Smith was intubated at the scene.
Officials told the Miami Herald, "it does not look good."
I used to live in Mississippi and they had a terrible problem with fire ants too. Being from the north that was something I'd never seen before.
The problem is that the only reason that Daniel is in the Bahamas is that Daniel died there. Had Daniel died in the USA, there is no doubt that he would have been buried in the USA....probably in the vicinity of Marilyn Monroe.
Yes, Daniel had to die in the Bahamas....and it had to be before his 21st birthday.
Mentioning the child custody issue was just my way of saying I've had limited experience with the way Florida handles family issues in general.

When my #2 child was 2-ish, if there was a fire ant mound within a quarter mile of our house, we'd invariably learn its location.

Do people not have common sense anymore? With this focus on "intent", it muddies the water because you don't know for certain unless it's written. Florida should follow it's statutes. The Bahamas should use DNA to decide paternity. I don't know what's so hard about this. Clarity sure doesn't seem to be the aim of the judicial system.

Very well put. I guess we will all see if the panel of judges intends to 'muddy the waters' (set precedent) or just follow the statutes of Florida. Long reaching ramifications either way.

I'm getting pretty weary of this "Daniel was the love of her life" soundbite. Anna was the love of Annas life. And drugs. How long had it been since she'd even seen Daniel? Was it when she kicked the "love of her life" out of her house?
Did anyone consider where Daniel would want to be buried?? Anyone??
I think HKS decided when and where Daniel would die and where he would be buried.
It provided some comic relief!

Actually that would make some sense as the primary cause of death, however, there are often secondary or underlying contributing causes as well. You can't tell me her drug use helped her when she was already ill.
hmmm....interesting. No drugs in her system?
