Anna Nicole Smith collapsed in her hotel room at the Hard Rock Cafe and Casino in Hollywood, Fla., and was rushed to a hospital on Thursday. A Hollywood, Fla., fire department spokesman told MSNBC TV that the actress was unresponsive when the rescue unit arrived on the scene.
Sources confirmed to Access Hollywood that Smith was transported to Memorial Regional Hospital shortly after 2 p.m. EST on Thursday. Access Hollywood also is reporting that Smith was intubated at the scene.
Officials told the Miami Herald, "it does not look good."
CNN has to be excerpted, even the transcripts, at least that was what the FR moderator spanked me about the last time I posted one in full.
We lived in Broward...not too far from where all this took place. Then we moved up to Palm Beach County. We lived there during the 2000 election nightmare. We left in 2004. I miss our old neighborhood, a few of our friends, Lilly Pulitzer clothes, and all the pretty license plates. That's about it.
After watching this case, I'm more convinced than ever of the absurdity of the judicial system deciding the leading social and cultural issues of today. These people know no more than you and me.
Money talks. One forgives much in the name of money.
No. Milstein was appointed her GAL in a limited capacity. That is--only for the purposes of claiming her mother's body. I don't believe anyone has been appointed GAL for all issues because she is living in the jurisdiction of the Bahamas. It is only because her mother's body is in Florida that Milstein was appointed.
But what about the fire ants? Don't you miss them too?
Rut-roh. I didn't know that. Read quickly.
Yes, plus it takes up too much space. All we need is the link for such a long transcript.
We know that Judge Seidlin wanted his own TV show before this. So maybe that's why he got this gig. And maybe the fix was in from the start. The new Judge Seidlin show isn't going to be on the E! Channel by any chance is it?
I should have added a sarcasm tag!
The absurdity of claiming that he would or could know what is best for this child for the next 18 years is so galling.
I miss the mosquitoes. We have fire ants in TX, so nothin's changed there.
Yes, plus it takes up too much space. All we need is the link for such a long transcript.
Plus Blitzer is an ignorant slut.
I don't think that's the case either. This case has been befuddled by ANS' promiscuity and her lack of responsibility in putting her legal records in order.
My ex lives in Tampa and had custody (by mutual agreement) of our daughter when she was in her late teens. I have no fondness for Florida but luckily all child custody issues were tried in my home state so neither of us had to deal with Florida's looney legal system.
"The judges appeared to cast a skeptical and critical eye on Arthur's position, which is that she, as mother, is next of kin -- and should be given the right to bury Anna Nicole. A camera in the courtroom caught a glimpse of a notebook held by Virgie Arthur that read, "I was her mother for the first 29 years of her life." By comparison, the judges gave the opposing side much more leeway to make their case without interruption."

I have a daughter who used to live in Fl but will never go back, solely because of the fire ants.
Who's that??
