I think the judge was tortured by the fact that he felt he should rule that she be buried with Daniel. He knew he should be ruling for Virgie, but couldn't get past that issue. I understand why he made this decision, but I feel Virgie and her lawyers should have shouted to the rooftops that they intended to exhume Daniel and bring him to Texas with ANS for burial.

I have to go back and read through it again. - I am not seeing anything that has anyone's signature on it except for the Registrar General's sig. I cannot make out the name.

How has NG handled this story? Her treatment of the Duke lacrosse case was highly biased.

It'll happen. People get exhumed all the time. I restored a pioneer cemetery and found that 30 out of 300 people had been reinterred to a larger cemetery with 3 and 4 generations buried in a family block. We're talking big families back then. Some have a whole row...30 graves.

That is what was said on NG - that whomever had their name there as the informant "Had to witness the birth of the baby and Stern could have put his name there himself."

Oh God, Nancy Grace. Remember when she had that show with JOhnny Cochran?

I agree, he was tortured, along with everyone else in that hearing room the very first day.
Which is why he should have followed the law, without emotion.
And the mother could have taken her daughter home, and started proceedings in the Bahamas to exhume her grandson and try to get control of her granddaughter to find out who the father is immediately.
The baby could then have had a father by now.

From Rte66's lawyer list (notice the last name below)
~Stern Group~
.Howard K. Stern (CA) - Witness/claimant - executor of outdated 2001 ANS will - ANS attorney, purported father of ANS surviving infant dtr
.Anthony McKinney (TB) - Lead atty representing Mr. Stern - rep'ed HKS in the civil suit filed by Cyril Wecht for payment - not pursued, as I understand it
.Wayne Munroe (TB)* - Lead attorney - Lockhart & Munroe Law Firm - alleged attorney for "ANS estate" - but has been speaking on behalf of HKS in press, i.e. "break-in" - represented Anna in the Thompson eviction process; Dion D. Smith of his firm attested to Dannielynn's birth certificate
.Dion D. Smith, attorney, testifies to the truthfulness of the Birth Certificate ; a senior associate in the firm of Lockhart And Munroe (firm members are staunch PLP supporters)

My theory is that he was enamored with Krista B..so he sided with her without realizing how badly he was going to screw things up.
He avoided the DNA test, and if he had done that, then the outcome would have been different.

I never saw that show. I'd guess it was a disaster?

He appointed the guardian ad litem and effectively negated all of Howard's power as father and executor, etc, etc. What he didn't do is split the body in two by giving Howard full powers and nothing to Virgie. He gave Virgie the opportunity to appeal and told Howard he can't stop that mother from attending her funeral.....like they did with Daniel.
I'm waiting for Howard to say he disagreed with Anna on her mother attending and he never had any intention of excluding her. That would be Saint Howard's MO.

Exactly, the DNA would have mad a big difference, but Virgie would still be the next of kin, unless they considered the ET video as proof that ANS did not her mother taking care of her affairs.

I hope I will be proven wrong but Dr. Perper does not impress me as being competent.
