FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (CNN) -- Attorneys for Anna Nicole Smith's mother Monday asked an appeals court to overturn a ruling over custody of Smith's body.
Virgie Arthur, who was estranged from her daughter, wants to bury Smith in Texas near other family members. But Judge Larry Seidlin, in a stunningly emotional televised hearing last week, ruled that custody goes to baby daughter Dannielynn's guardian ad litem, Richard Milstein.
"3 weeks after Daniel died they were still planning to bury him in the US".

The only reason Daniel was not buried in the US - Larry Birkhead's paternity suit in CA.
Stern & ANS did not dare set foot in USA to avoid court order(s) for DNA.

It's from going with an attorney for 10 years. There's an old attorney game: It's called suppose, suppose.....It's the process of dealing with possibilities.
Remember, there was no possibility of convicting Peterson....until the bodies surfaced.

Stern had to have been thinking of that from the minute Daniel died. Maybe it took him 3 weeks to convince Anna otherwise. It probably took 3 weeks at least to get her calmed down enough to talk about such things.
AGREED!!!! And after all of that had blown over I am positive that Anna would have moved his body to Hollywood. I have no doubt.
Sept 25, 2006 Entertainment Tonight (not People magazine) reports that the body of Daniel Smith is at Butler Home in the Bahamas, waiting to be shipped back to the United States.

This case has not been so much about the Tabloid Anna Nicole Smith, but the legal crises surrounding;
The death of a son - about to reach his majority (age 21)of undetermined manner and cause. Could be homicide.
The birth of a daughter - whose paternity and custody is in question - who may also have been born addicted to illegally obtained prescription drugs.
The premature, undetermined death of the infant's mother -could be homicide, suicide or misadventure.
Conspiracy to access a $1.6billion estate and eliminate per stirpes heirs.
Conspiracy by lawyers and foreign government officials to circumvent immigration laws for fraudulent purposes.
Intent to defraud owners of real property and real estate.
Illegal transportation of prescription drugs, by interstate and international waters.
Potential kidnapping of a US citizen.
Illegal disposition/seizure, by an officer of the court, of the remains of a US citizen in contravention of State Law (Florida)
Creation and presentation of fraudulent documents to avoid parental and custodial rights.
Possible religious bias against a Southern Baptist/Christian upbringing for a child who had a GODMOTHER appointed by her mother, who had a "Baptist" minister perform a "committment ceremony". Will the self-appointed father honor this religious affiliation or circumvent it?
WE SHOULD ALL BE TERRIFIED THAT THESE SAME LAWYERS, GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS AND JUDGES COULD PUT ALL OF US IN JEOPARDY.
A REVIEW OF ALL THE "LEGAL" RULINGS TO DATE SHOULD REMIND US TO NEVER LEAVE OUR AFFAIRS IN THE HANDS OF LAWYERS OR JUDGES.
I am really surprised that they did not cremated Daniel so that she could keep his ashes with her where ever she moved to.
It's HER optimistic attitude.

Superb observation - but then - HK$ would not have had quite as much landlocked leverage on ANS and the Bahamian authorities.
It was just another poison pill he concocted.
Some more for THE LIST:
-money laundering
-forgery
-drug pushing and possible illegal drug purchasing (mushrooms_
-giving drugs prescribed to one person to another person
-interfering with doctors care in hospital detox
-and probably outright stealing from Anna Nicole
I'm sure Larry has had a computer expert pull every email that ever went to Anna or Howard. Howard was selective for court purposes but Larry said: "You should have see hers".
Oh yeah, and probably tax evasion too! That's a biggie!
Did it have to have happened in the hospital?
I know Daniel was there to be with his Mom and baby sister, and of course Howard was there...in and out...remember the Wendy's food and drink? (Of course you do) Don't know enough detail to know if it could have happened somewhere away from Anna in a more remote part of the hosp. or on the grounds, etc.
As for bruises sustained while being forcibly held down, yeah, I can imagine that. However, that would cause about as much ruckus as a fight. Would he allow himself to be forcibly held down? That implies he would be trying hard to resist and that force had to be used.
In any event, I think the world needs to know more about those bruises. Too bad it's getting lost in the hullabaloo.
I wonder if ANYONE ever took into consideration what DANIEL would have wanted? He didn't know anyone in the Bahamas. Seems his friends were all in Calif.
ANS, by her actions while alive, has caused all of this. There were people trying to help her. She didn't want help. She wanted drugs.
P.S. Never heard of Anna Nicole till FR started the thread.
