Anna Nicole Smith has died according to ABC News

Anna Nicole Smith collapsed in her hotel room at the Hard Rock Cafe and Casino in Hollywood, Fla., and was rushed to a hospital on Thursday. A Hollywood, Fla., fire department spokesman told MSNBC TV that the actress was unresponsive when the rescue unit arrived on the scene.

Sources confirmed to Access Hollywood that Smith was transported to Memorial Regional Hospital shortly after 2 p.m. EST on Thursday. Access Hollywood also is reporting that Smith was intubated at the scene.

Officials told the Miami Herald, "it does not look good."

I would guess you are correct that TrimSpa had some sort of insurance on ANS as their spokesperson. But another pony they have in this race is if ANS very public death can in anyway be traced back to the use/over use of their weight loss product (and I do know that all such products are ephedra free now). What if hoodia become the next class action law suit darling...Mr. and Mrs. T.Spa have quite a financial mess on their hands?

I don't trust Perper much. James Brown has been "on ice" since Christmas Day 2006 and no one claims his body is falling apart. It seems to me that Perper's calls to the courthouse last week were a little too much protesting. JMO.

He said that Anna had a fever of 105, and they tried to talk her into going to the hospital but she wouldn't go. So he told her that he was going to put her in an ice bath and if she wouldn't do that, he would take her to the hospital. He said that Dr. Ersovich (sp) was there when he put her in the bath.

Greta asked about where the idea of the ice bath came from, and he said that is something that he knew from his grandmother.

He is a trained EMT and there is an MD in the room.
