Anna Nicole Smith has died according to ABC News

Anna Nicole Smith collapsed in her hotel room at the Hard Rock Cafe and Casino in Hollywood, Fla., and was rushed to a hospital on Thursday. A Hollywood, Fla., fire department spokesman told MSNBC TV that the actress was unresponsive when the rescue unit arrived on the scene.

Sources confirmed to Access Hollywood that Smith was transported to Memorial Regional Hospital shortly after 2 p.m. EST on Thursday. Access Hollywood also is reporting that Smith was intubated at the scene.

Officials told the Miami Herald, "it does not look good."

Can anybody say diversion???? From the deeply troubling events of today??? We have a murder mystery going on......I never followed Anna Nicole Smith during her life. First took notice when her 20 year old son died. Then she dies???? All of a sudden with no good explanation and learen about this Stern person being present for both deaths???? And he now stands to be the exectutor of an estate worth possibly mulitplied millions???

To lurkers - this case, IMHO, speaks about our culture, the destructiveness and tragedy of money, fame, greed - but also it seems to be ANOTHER situation where a person who is supposed to be "in love" with someone has actually seen to their demise AND that of their "lover"s son.

Will he get away with it? That is the question for me - as well as the safety of a little sweet 5 month old baby.

Here's another question for anyone who might know. Do the Bahamas extradite to the US? If so, they surely would in this case doncha think? If the Bahaman investigators have any proof or suspician that HKS killed Daniel and the US investigation shows any proof that HKS killed Anna, they might send Howard has murdered back here for the possible trial of Anna at least. They could even deport Howard if they think he killed Daniel and turn him over to the American authorities, no? Someone correct me if i'm just "dreaming".

I agree. I saw the thread with the "question".. I see it(the curiosity) as interest in a very attractive, used, manipulated, woman who has met tragedy in her life & died under questionable circumstances.

This will make a good movie ..and I am pretty sure eventually it will be made. With the right writer, director, stars, it will be a sober view of the reality of what happened in her tragic & misguided life

Same here. Never followed her life. But happened to be watching the news when the flash came on that she was "unconscious and unresponsive". After 20 minutes of that i started to log on to FR and told my daughter that she might be dead cuz she's been unconscious too long. Then with the CourtTV coverage, WOW! How can one not intrigued after that. Those guys on the "is anyone bothered by the ANS thread having 15000 posts" don't know the half of it. They are ignorant of what is going on in this case.

Of course i'm not a lurker, but you're right. This is a question of murder and we want to see justice done here. Most of us are trying to put the pieces together with our various ideas knowing full well that investigators do look to FR for new ideas as do the media. I for one do it for that reason because investigators only have so much time in which to gather and interpret evidence and we just help out a little.
