I was worried that my Photobucket account would crash with all the pics but seems I have lots of room. I see people posting that have a box stating their free allowance had been exceeded.

Waltrips car was just impounded.

The substance found in the intake manifold was a lubricant of some kind.

What a Hoot. All that Kissing Butt for France went for nothing. He sure looked pale talking to Hammond a few minutes ago. Japan just got snookered by a country boy from the hills...

I was just coming over with that. From That's Racin website

NASCAR throws out qualifying times for Kahne, Kenseth; aero work is cited
NASCAR on Sunday disallowed the qualifying times for the cars of Kasey Kahne and Matt Kenseth.
Both drivers will start at the rear of the field of the second 150-mile qualifying race on Thursday at Daytona International Speedway.

NASCAR vice president Jim Hunter said both cars had unapproved aerodynamic enhancements that were discovered by inspectors after qualifying on Sunday. Hunter said further penalties were possible for both teams, including points deductions, fines and/or crew chief suspensions.

I am so laughing............Ty Norris who used to be a top gun at DEI until he and Teresa had a falling out said the fuel aka lubricant was sterno. So I was wondering if they are roasting marshmallows or something during off hours.

Duel 1 lineup, with some further notes ("behind" times are behind this race's pole-sitter):

- David Gilliland will start on the inside pole in the Daytona 500.
- Driver(s) in dark green are those that are guaranteed to start the Daytona 500 based on owners' points. Other than Gilliland, their finishing order, as well as the top two field-fillers, will determine the inside (odd) row starting order for positions 3-39 in the Daytona 500.
- Drivers in light green are field-fillers that are guaranteed to start the Daytona 500 through either qualifying speed or the most-recent past-champ's provisional (the two eligible are italicized).
- Driver(s) in mustard are field-fillers that, depending on the results of the Duels (namely, those that are locked in race their way into a better staring spot), can fall back on their qualifying speed.
- Drivers in bright yellow must finish among the top two field-fillers or go home after Thursday (except for Bill Elliott, who merely has to hope that Dale Jarrett races his way in; then he would be eligible for the most-recent past-champ's provisional).
- Positions 40-42 will be filled by the 3 fastest field-fillers in in qualifying from either Duel that did not race their way in.
- Position 43 will be filled by, in order, Dale Jarrett (the 1999 Winston Cup Champ), Bill Elliott (1988 Winston Cup Champ) or the next-fastest field-filler in qualifying that did not race his way in.

They've always had a strong plate qualifying package, so it doesn't surprise me. If they actually do well Sunday and at California, that will.

And not just qualifying, they usually do well at the plate tracks.

It was the other 32 races that were the problem!

Correction to the Duel 2 lineup; the results of that race are for positions 4-38, not 2-38.
