Cali was at death's door Sunday but better today. Hasn't walked for about 3 weeks.
Sunday PM,I made her a witch;s brew of herbs, vitamins etc & it seemed to help. She was quite alert & started eating again (after 3 days of rejecting food) & plays & Still has preferred position of me holding her with her paws around my neck.. She would be there all the time when I was on computer if I would let her. When she had use of her back legs she could semi support herself in this position, but now I have to hold her. Twice a day I take her out & we walk around the yard. I wrap her in a warm towel & she has fun gazing around at her former stomping ground.
thanks for asking.
Funny how Cali is such a common name for calico cats.. that & Patches. I do recall you having one also but not that she was the same age as mine.
My friend John is on my profile page with his 22 year old kitty Sasha.. She is pretty alert still but has a hard time getting up on furniture etc. His cat has always been a house cat. My cali would be out every day doing "cat stuff" But in with me at night.

Our Cali lost her best friend a couple of weeks ago. Ivory was about 17 years old and has always been a sickly cat.
I found her outside the place where I worked. She was sleeping by the back door..curled up in a ball. She couldn't have been over 3 months old. I went over to her and I noticed she didn't move. I clapped my hands..still no movement. She was deaf. I had to take her home because it was terribly rough neighborhood. The sob's would get kicks out of having their pitbulls attack cats.
I miss her.

Oh I am sorry about Ivory. If you posted this prior, I missed it as I don;t always get to all the threads. Does your cali have other cats at home? I know the dogs are companions also but they always seem to have their favorites.
With my Cali, she never really has had cat friends... she bonded to me & really did well with Oliver. They would cuddle together & he would lick her all over all the time & she would groom him also

Yes, we have Snicky and Angus Jr.. However, they are not the best of buds. The dogs love her, though.

It was fun being a baby boomer... until now. Some of the artists of the 60's are revising their hits with new lyrics to accommodate aging baby Boomers.(well, not all of you are there yet- so send it or show it to your parents!)
They include:
Herman's Hermits--- Mrs.. Brown, You've Got a Lovely Walker.
Ringo Starr--- I Get By With a Little Help From Depends.
The Bee Gees--- How Can You Mend a Broken Hip.
Bobby Darin--- Splish, Splash, I Was Havin' a Flash.
Roberta Flack--- The First Time Ever I Forgot Your Face.
Johnny Nash--- I Can't See Clearly Now.
Paul Simon--- Fifty Ways to Lose Your Liver
The Commodores--- Once, Twice, Three Times to the Bathroom.
Procol Harem--- A Whiter Shade of Hair.
Leo Sayer--- You Make Me Feel Like Napping.
The Temptations--- Papa's Got a Kidney Stone.
Abba--- Denture Queen.
Tony Orlando--- Knock 3 Times On The Ceiling If You Hear Me Fall.
Helen Reddy--- I Am Woman, Hear Me Snore.
Leslie Gore--- It's My Procedure, and I'll Cry If I Want To.
And my favorite:
Willie Nelson--- On the Commode Again

Biden is such a blowhard. He truly suffers from foot in mouth disease and meglomania. We cannot forget when he ran before he told us that he was a straight A student all through grade and high school even through college and to top that off he had 4 degrees. Plus he steals other's thoughts and passes them off as his own.
How about Bella Pelosi trying to use our military aircraft to transport not only her sweet self from DC to SF but her staff and all her family. Royalty does have its perks.

The very thought of that botoxed blowhard on a military aircraft makes me very angry. Where she gets the idea she is entitled to use military aircraft for her own convenience is beyond me.
The only military flight she deserves to be on is a one way C-130 to her cell at club GITMO.

Goodmorning; Present & lurking

Unfortunately, because Hastert has been using military aircraft since 9/11 (because he was third in line) Pelosi has a good case for getting the same treatment.
I do not think, however, that friends and relations merit the same treatment.

Good morning all. I am taking a day off for the first time this year. I will be leaving the Service at the end of my current enlistment. I can't do the job and be subject to deployment. Many in my old unit are deployed, and I'm helping to support them from over here. I'm getting old enough that should probably be my role in the future. I'll leave the heavy lifting to the kids. ;>)

I reckon you're right, she probably will get the use of Military A/C.
The thought of it really makes my teeth itch though!
