The plumbing set me back some change.

It was the garbage disposal...everytime I turned it on it wrenched the pipes(sounded like a motor boat starting) and broke TWO PIPES. I had him remove the garbage disposal and I'm never getting one of those things again.

Next on the agenda this spring...a new kitchen sink and maybe countertops.

Regarding garbage disposals: I throw most of my stuff in the trash, and only the little bits go down the disposal, which one HAS to have if one is going to have a dishwasher.

I require a dishwasher. I am not into washing dishes after every meal, and besides that, the dishwasher gets the water hotter than I could stand doing dishes by hand.
