As we settle into the nighttim of despair, fret not, for the Sun will rise again!!
Good morning!!
We, here, will never forget those who died on September 11, 2001, as we seek to protect the Republic from all who will do her harm!!
Iran appears ready to try and launch a vehicle into Earth orbit. There is concern this may also be a prelude to an intercontinental missile capability.
Sen. Feingold is pushing a resolution to terminate funding for the war in Iraq.
Clashes occurred in Lebanon between supporters of the Government and Hezbollah.
The University of Cagliari, in Italy, has authored a study saying global warming is linked to an increase in suicide.
The UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change will issue a report that says it is 90% sure humans are causing global warming. Of course, that means they are 10 percent unsure. So, with the same accepted rate of accuracy for a three-day weather forecast, climatology conclusions have been made that will address centuries.
Jimmy Carter once complained, while he was President, there are "too many Jews" on the Government's Holocaust Memorial Council. This is from an interview with Monroe Freedman, who once served as the Council's executive director.
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.
Somewhere, Burger and the Clintons are scowling and that just makes my day, lysie :-)
It's so good to hear from you, Kay! I know you're going to enjoy seeing the new little one and the other still-little ones. It's also good to get outa the house, huh?
Happy Friday, Raven!
This is a terrific article: 97 Reasons Why the Democrats Are Weak On Defense and Can't Be Trusted to Govern During Wartime

And I said, YES! and Raven's Friday afternoon greeting and music. LOL!
that is absolutely mesmerizing! I can't tear my eyes away from those jiggling, red letters. LOL
That article you linked is the best summary of Democrat ineptitude in the matter of Defense that I have ever read. Thanks. I'm bookmarking for future reference.
I saved that article too, Carolinamom. As far as I can see, the Democrats haven't been right about one single national security issue since the day our country was founded.
EVERY TIME I make the mistake of watching this jerk in the afternoon I hear something that sets my teeth on edge.
Jane, I've been cleaning out some things too, and will continue...my method is this...a little each day so it doesn't seem overwhelming.
Every time I go to the basement, for example, to move laundry to the dryer...I spend a few moments also cleaning and straightening in other areas...
Bit, one of our favorite movies was on today - at least my memory tells me it's one of yours, too - Twelve O'Clock High. That tough general, Frank Savage, exemplifies why tough fairness, high standards, etc. IS compassion! What a great movie about leadership.
I think I have hit the limit on this diet. I just don't think it is going to help me to eat beef all day tomorrow. I am calling this off. Hubby has lost seven pounds, and I WANT A DIET COKE!!!
A Chocolate milk shake sounds good huh?
oh you are mean! Jane prefers Strawberry!;^))
Oh, Jane, I can't imagine how bad your cravings must be.
Can you possibly stick with it just to be a diet buddy for your husband? Men take the weight off so much easier and faster than women do.
My Hubby and I went to Diet Center about 20 years ago. In the time I lost 7 lbs, he'd lost almost 30. I plataued at 14 lbs. He lost 56.
And he refused to get a new belt. He just kept punching new holes in his old work belt with an ice pick. He was quite proud of his holey belt. He'd have worn it to church if I'd allowed it.
I hope you will do what you can to stick with it, for your husband's sake. However frustrating it might be.
(My afternoon and early evening were like a Sit Com. I'll be back to tell about it in a bit)
I went to the deli and got some Italian bread, a salad, and cooked some pasta. That's what we had for supper, one plate only each.
I am starting both of us on Weightwatchers tomorrow. My husband lost 7 pounds on this diet and I lost 3. Big whoop. My first week on Weightwatchers last time I lost 7.
At least I have gotten my husbands stomach shrunk, and he understands that he cannot eat whatever he wants whenever he wants it.
When I was on Weightwatchers you NEVER heard me whining, because it allows you to eat whatever you want, and manage it accordingly. This diet is just nuts.
YO!
( Yesterday, I thought this water-damaged keyboard was okay...today I'm not so sure...keys are sticking....)
Good Morning.
IG, you are, no doubt about it, spreading the word that Hillary's coming, Hillary's coming, Hillary's ooming to Iowa (hahahaha)........BIG DEAL.
(Burning question of the day: Will she have intimate chats in diners w/live people over coffee?........I've got a bridge.....)
