Yeah, Cam calls the plays but the problem seems to be that some plays are not in the SD playbook that should be in there--especially a few deep pass plays to LT. Marty is too much of a grinder. He needs to use LT the way Vermeil used Marshall Faulk and the way Walsh used Ricky Waters in the passing game. I don't think all the right plays are in their play book and in their game plans. Other than that their offensive scheme looks OK, but it's really a no-brainer that they need to throw deep to LT at least once in each half. LT is so fast...just run all other receivers to the other side of the field, look off the safety, and run LT down the other sideline and see it he gets open. He can beat any linebacker and most corners in a 30 yard sprint.
We needed a few more plays in the playbook today but it was also bad execution on some plays. Rivers is still almost a rookie and he made a bad decision on that screen pass that was picked off.
