Another NFL Record broken due to the play of one Mr. Tom Brady and the New England Patriots...
Well in this case we'd have to give Indy their props for making it happen as well.
I was a little disappointed in his post game comments, knowing he is not the kind to "celebrate" or show off when achieving something onfield. I greatly dislike anytime of on field celebration when the game is going on....esp the Shawn Merriman dance, in light of his...ahem..past.
A classy person would have not answered the question posed to him (What did you think about the post game celebration by the Patriots), or would have answered differently, and not dissed the head coach of the winning team. Sour grapes, IMHO. Having thought about it for awhile, I know LT was just upset at having lost, when the Chargers should have won, uspet at perhaps not having carried the ball and the team as much as he is used to.
Someone upthread already said it,but ...Poor form to complain about the other team celebrating with a "victory dance" (on your home field) used by one of your teammates when you say nothing to the teammate when he does the dance on an opposing team's field.
All that being said, when Marty threw that challenge flag, my husband and I turned to each other and said:"Nice going Marty..and thanks!"..we knew this one would come back to bite the Chargers in the butt later on. That timeout would have helped alot on that final drive. Can't fault Kaeding on that..poor kid.
If they don't turn the ball over next week they will be playing in Miami in three weeks.
It was absolutely wild. Brady slipped out of more snares than Harry Houdini.
And do they expect that the 1985 Bears will play against the 2006 Bears in the SuperBowl as well?
Hey, next week, the Mighty Colts will once again be turned into the "My Little Ponies"...
If anyone blames Kaeding then they have no football brains at all.
Any chance that harisson would be back for that one?
Manning would have felt much less pressure playing on the road against SD. Now he's going to be told all week that he MUST win.
Don't know. Man it'd be great if he were. It really hurt the Pats secondary when he got hurt early in that last game against Indy. They just couldn't get sorted out again. Indy of course doesn't have Stokley anymore either.
That's a collective "jaws agape" you're hearing
all of the "smart money" in NFL country thought that the Chargers would wipe the floor with the Patriots.
BB has a way of winning in second meetings after losing the first game. Brady is has to be a lot better...not just good 2 drives.
Oh, one can take the very defensible position that the Patriots didn't win so much as the Chargers lost due to the bad penalties but all the penalties won't mean anything if you don't figure out how to take advantage of them. (See the Seahawks, earlier today, against the Bears.)
The Patriots figured out how to hang in there against the Chargers until they could come up with the game-winning field goal.
It really doesn't matter...when the Patriots win the next SB, someone somewhere will want to put an asterisk up alongside that SuperBowl game as well...just like the other ones...
Pats made the plays when the had to.
I still can't believe that game...like I said before, I'm still in shock!
How many TD passes did PM throw against the Ravens?
true, but thank God he was good on at least 2 drives, today!
Gee I hope they didn't lose too much money. Actually on second thought...I hope they lost everything!!
