I think Marty gets a bum rap.
I'm just getting so damned tired of the thuggishness and the gangsta ball mentality that's all over professional sports these days. What the heck is wrong with just hugging and high-fiving your teammates when you make a good play? Why do these guys have to go on and on and on with the taunting, the dancing, the spitting and headbutting and everything else that drags the game down to the level of a street rumble?
I wish more NFL coaches would punish these guys when their antics get out of hand. Maybe we'd see less of this crap and more football.
Bill has cancer. I think his coaching days are over.
That team has plenty of talent to win a SB. It'll be very interesting to see what decision they make about Marty.
Marty was trying to call timeout before the 2-pt conversion but the refs couldn't hear him.
Well, I salute you. Not one of the sportswriters up here in Boston said the Pats were going to win it.
Scumbags, all. But I guess they are not paid to be fanboys.
Lightning finish as in "Lightning BOLT"?
Ron Borges must be crying more than LT is right now.
I cannot stand any of the sportswriters up here. They are all full of themselves.
OK, then would you believe: bring in Walsh and Coryell to overhaul the offensive scheme and playbook with Cam and Marty and decide on a new scheme that fully utilizes LT and Gates. Then use the new kick-ass scheme next year and give full game-planning responsbility to Cameron. Or maybe just make Phillips the head coach.
They think if they rip the Pats it makes them look more "objective".
With the Chargers' early exit, I'd say it's now unlikely Cameron will be back next year. He'll probably become someone else's head coach, now that he's free to interview with other teams.
You know Brady was off just about the entire game. He had Watson for a TD earlier. And yet when it came down to crunch time...well he did it when he had to.
I think you maybe right.
I think people should just give the guy a break.
I think he believed all the press clippings, and losing just shocked him. Sure, it would have been better if he had been gracious about it, but he is a young man still.
As Admiral Nimitz was fond of saying "Every dog deserves a second bite."
Let's give LT one.
I figured they were going to go for the 2 points and they used the exact same play they used succesfully a few years ago with Kevin Faulk taking the direct snap.
Player of the game?
In the Super Bowl no less.
Now that you mention it....º¿º
