Ok folks here's the new thread for the new season.
Jack, please don't teacup the guns.
I have no choice but to miss it, I am in class every Monday night till May. I enjoyed watching them on DVD more than week to week with commercials anyway. Next year I will watch it on TV, it's my fav show.
This is the best 24 season so far. It ended with a nuke going off in LA. I think Graham is involved in the terrorist attack besides the Jihadists. I expect Assad to die because the terrorists will see him as a traitor and coward. Also, there are four nukes out there awaiting to go off. The reason is this phrase, "khamsa ziwar", which means five visitors.
Still in shock after watching the end of Hour 4, but yeah, it's about my favorite.
Very good! "Nonsense, he's been using one for years."
I'm still speechless after the nuke. Holy cow...
From what I saw on one of the commercials, the first two nights' shows will be available in stores tomorrow, along with a preview of next week, or something. As for being replayed free, I don't know.
What a show! And I still have to catch up on Seasons 1-5!
Anywho...great minds...
Edgar got the silent clock, didn't he?
Best Buy will have the first 4 hours on DVD tomorrow for $9.99. Also there is supposed to be a teaser for next weeks show too.
ENJOY!!!!!!!!
I guess we shouldn't be suprised that Curtis was written off the show tonight. He is now in CTU heaven with Ryan, Tony, Michelle, George Mason, Rudy, Edgar, and David.
I can't believe no one made a bigger deal about Chloe's blowup to Morris and 'stached dude. IT WAS FREAKING CLASSIC!!!!!!
A new drink rule now in effect. Anytime Bill tells the Pres. that "we've suffered a setback", it calls for a double hit!!!!! While we're at it, since we're bringing in Tom Brady to kick ARSE, why not have Bill Belichick be new CTU director. At least every day will be dress down day but arses will still be kicked, names will still be taken!!!!!!!
SEE YA CURTIS!!!!!!1
It's clear to me the creators have a tin ear for politics. The situations are unrealistic. I think the only thing that is "based on RFK" is that if he were president, he would have lived in his dead brother's shadow.
The show's political figures have always been left. David Palmer was a Dem. I thought it was funny in Season 1 that he was so closely tied to mob elements. He was too noble to submit to them, but of course, they supported him.
Even though the pro-security forces don't make the arguments that I wish they would have made, ("No, it ain't in the Constitution. Read it. It ain't there.") the ACLU-fetishists come off badly. They end up being wrong on every front.
Like everything else, the politics are just a mechanism by which Jack can get from situation A to situation B.
Mz. Palmer is really unlikeable. She won't last until noon.
The absolute worst was the explosion in the mini-storage building. The terrorist dropped his grenade in front of a few hundred pounds of C4, and Jack is fine 20 yards away. Total damage: 2 mini-storage lockers and 4 garage doors. I have seen a couple of pounds do more...
Yeah. Aint it great??? Who knew there was a sister? She's perfect!
I'm still catching up on season 3. I'm up on the rest of it. (At least I think I am) When did Tony and Michelle bite the dust?
I don't remember ever seeing that (it came out "before my time"), but I did take part in one "duck and cover" drill when I was in kindergarten. I remember being pretty scared and a bunch of the kids were crying...
We can only hope -
Just marking a spot to catch up on the thread in the am...
I actually went to high school with her, here in Los Angeles (Westchester High). She was in a later class (88) than I (86), and in her freshman year she was added to the comedy show "227" (with Marla Gibbs). IMDB has a listing of notables who also attended Westchester High, including the loathable Leo Terrell (for those who listen to Sean Hannity), who was just as much of a loudmouth then as now.
(Back then I didn't know the difference between liberal and conservative...just knew that he was a loud, arrogant sumbish.)
As for her being unlikeable on the show...agree totally.
Well, although I know someone else does it better...only 6 days, 21 hours, 14 minutes until Jack Bauer saves the world!
Wow...finally caught up on all 17,000 posts. Bookmarking my spot for next Monday...and FWIW, I don't think Curtis is dead. Too much psyche drama for Jack (on another day) when Curtis is back working in the field.
