I don't get that at all (so far)..I was watching thinking what a loser Palmer 2 was, to give up Jack and 'negotiate' with terrorists! I guess we will see tomorrow night!
China will play a big part this season and makes us all think about the 'puppet masters'....(I hope)

The domestic partner declared an embargo against 24. I think he's jealous of Jack. He said Jack was a murderer when he killed Robo Cop last year.
I said, the guy tried to kill him numerous times in most horrible ways. It was just self-defense in advance.
So, he goes into the bedroom while I am watching and ...
I go in and catch him watching it on the TV in there. Hah!
I started laughing when Jack bit the guy to death and I couldn't stop. For some reason that was hysterical to me.

All I know is that I was floored when Jack shot (the thigh was it?) "Letty's mom"---I finally knew he meant business at that moment.

Now that's a good point. I suppose my view of D.B. Whiteside (I think that's his name) is skewed b/c I'm a Buffy the Vampire Slayer and loved him in that show--he was the ultimate good guy. I suppose I need to look at this from a new perspective.
That being said, I said to my husband, after the Chief of Staff, or VP, that malicious man who's always second-guessing the president... "why do they always do this, undercut the president? It gets irritating."
So, like you say, we'll see. *reverts to virtual world* I think he has a good role model in his big brother, so I think that ultimately he'll realize he needs to trust Jack, and to do the right thing.
Hopefully we can all trust Jack, though...It looks like his torture has changed him.
I actually thought it was kind of neat, in a sick way, that at least initially, in ep two tonight, Jack was relying on a Muslim do-gooder to remind him how to ... kick A$$ when interrogating someone. Isn't that strange?

I gotta say, if you've never watched Buffy the Vampire Slayer, you must. :) There's a season... number five, I believe... when all these geeks get together to take Buffy down.
At one point one of the three paints a huge round death orb (? That big round gray world in Star Wars?) on the side of their oh-so-top-secret minivan.
And the other guys come over the top dog says.. "Dude! We're supposed to be undercover. What is this!!!?
And before the one in control has the chance to tell the painter to spray paint over it, the two geeks start arguing about which portal goes where, etc. etc... "This is not correct!" LOL
Anyway... not to say you're a geek.. :) I love Star Trek. And I can never, ever see Patrick Stewart on tv ever again without telling my husband, "Captain Picard is on tv!" LOL!
