Thanks for the comeback on whether each season stands alone ---- more or less.

Even if one has never sat down to watch '24', you can't help but know (in a general way) what is going on. I'm vaguely aware of the different relationships on the program, and these DVD sets give you pretty much a good written sum-up. You could almost sit down and read them and catch up ---- almost.

Thank goodness, DH is as interested as I am. We've gone thru The Sopranos together, and now we are both glad that series is coming to an end. It has had its time.

Has Sutherland had his political views change because of this series?

I'm sure Larry knows who they are. It'll be fine just seeing Kiefer and the cast talk about the show.

Kiefer is an admitted liberal and against the death penalty.

But at least Kiefer isn't the obnoxious liberal type who constantly gets in front of the camera to scream at all of those who don't agree with him.

Exactly...

BTW, I gather you didn't like what you saw of Season 6. Why?

If you want to know,

Don't fall for it, you'll regret it. You only have 5 days..........Do you normally open your Christmas presents on Dec. 20?????

I mean now, not when you used to peek at them when you were a kid......

The answer is of course yes. We started watching in the middle of season 5. We got so hooked that over the summer and fall, we watched seasons 1-4. It was a blast! We just finished watching season 5 again. The hard part now is that we have to wait a week for each episode! We can't have those nights where we stay up late watching 3 or 4 addictive episodes. I envy you because you can!!

Even the cast of 24 wont make me tune to CNN.

I wouldn't miss it.

I'd watch it in Ted Kennedy's living room if I had to.

I watch the show and then go back to FR and read the live thread. The live thread is very timezonistic, starting on the east coast as it does, LOL. I am watching at PST. But I frankly couldn't focus on the show properly if I were typing and reading: how do you all do it??

I believe Rush will be in this season. It's just a guess. He disappeared a couple months ago for two days in the middle of the week. He told the audience it was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. He had already hung out with the Prez in the Oval Office. He wasn't visiting the troops in Iraq. The guest host said all breathlessly that "Rush is BACK from what he was doing!! I am sure he will tell you ALL ABOUT IT TOMORROW!" But that next day, Rush said he couldn't tell; he deserved a personal life; others were involved and he wasn't at liberty to say.

So I guessed that he got a chance to play himself or a character on 24. We will see if I guessed right.

I keep waiting for them to show him stuck in traffic for an hour.

I am hoping he gets to drink a sip of water or pee this season. LOL.

I have seen the first four episodes. They are unbelievable.

Thanks to my neighbor's kid (the geek) I was up all night watching these files which were apparently leaked to the Internet. French subtitles and all.

The only thing out for season 6 episode 5 that I see is "Act 1" from it - the first 15 mintutes.

Looks like you're right, episodes 1-4 are complete and 5 only has 15 min.

Not going to download them myself, I really want to watch these in HD.

If you saw them, you would be glad for not waiting. They are insanely good, and now that I know what to look for, watching them Sunday in HD will be even better.

Hard coded french subs - bummer ha!

There are copies out there that are perfect rips from the DVD without the hard coded subs. ...or so I hear :)

I bet there are, but I don't download this stuff. I get leftovers from the kid next door. He keeps my computer healthy, and I let him and his friends swim in my pool.
