When was the last time the word TAXATION was used in the same sentence as inevitable? When was the last time people considered Ford and Carter as Presidents? When was the last time Iran seriously threatened the USA? When was the last time AM radio ruled the airwaves? When was the last time music was as purposely bad as today? Dynamite! You remember the last time was the 1970s.

Trip out and go back in time to AM radio, a pick in your afro, corn rows platform shoes, bell bottoms, silk shirts, short shorts, large neck chains, mood rings, disco music, rollerskating mania, teen idols, Farrah Fawsett, the Brady Bunch, the misery index, high inflation, price controls, SALT, Annie Hall, and invention of the personal computer. I got my Granada from the same used car dealer after the Spitfire (see post 87) dies. He paid off the loan on the Spit and sold me the Granada. What a piece of machinery!!! 6 cylinder, three on the tree, am radio, no power steering, no A/C, two worn tires and in need of an alignment. The dealer was supposed to get it aligned and new tires but I rolled it two days before I was to take it back.

Yeah, I love cars. 4th one was a $500 65 VW bug. Baja'ed it and drove it for 3 years before I blew the engine. It would do 65 on flat freeway and I was doing 78 downhill when it blew. Got me another engine from a junk yard, fixed it and continued to drive it for another year.
