I find myself agreeing with John Peel's (remember him?) conclusions:

“...The UFOS do not seem to exist as tangible, manufactured objects. They do not conform to the accepted natural laws of our environment....The UFO manifestations seem to be, by and large, merely minor variations of the age-old demonological phenomenon.~
John Keel,
UFOs: Operation Trojan Horse
pg 299
And with Jacques Vallee's:
"...The phenomenon behaved like a conditioning process. The logic of conditioning uses obscurity and confusion to achieve its goal while hiding its mechanism. I could see a similar structure in the UFO stories. I am beginning to perceive a coherent picture of the ‘flying saucer’ phenomenon for the first time, now that I am pursuing the idea that UFOS may be a pyschological control system, and now that I am aware of their link to human consciousness. But I am not ready to jump to the conclusion that it is the technology of some kind of ‘spacemen.’"
Jacques Vallee,
Anatomy of a Phenomenon
pg 6

Dr Wilson's conclusion was clearly the UFOs were demonic in their origin and essence!

I believe this is an area of study that warrants more attention by someone. The so-called "UFOlogists" would do well to turn their attention in this direction.

Just my 2 cents... John Keel is more of a humorist, although he sometimes comes off as humorless. I find him amusing but more of an opportunist, turning a buck by books which are almost all style and almost no content. Vallee has come around to the "no ETs" view after most of his adult life spent pursuing the phenomenon.

Charles Fort had at least as much grounds for writing this:
"Would we, if we could, educate and sophisticate pigs, geese, cattle?
Would it be wise to establish diplomatic relation with the hen that now functions, satisfied with mere sense of achievement by way of compensation?
I think we're property.
I should say we belong to something:
That once upon a time, this earth was No-man's Land, that other worlds explored and colonized here, and fought among themselves for possession, but that now it's owned by something:
That something owns this earth-all others warned off."

-- "The Book of the Damned", page 163
