This is a horse chat thread where we share ideas, ask for input from other horsemen, and talk about our riding and horse-keeping. We have a lot of different kinds of riders and horses, and a lot to share. In the previous threads we have had a great time talking through lessons, training, horse lamenesses, illnesses and pregnancies... and always sharing pictures and stories.
I always have a link to this thread on my profile page, so if you have something to say and can't find the thread in latest posts… look for it there and wake the thread up!
I also have a ping list for horse threads that are of interest, and MissTargets will now be pinging everyone most mornings. Let MissTargets and/or me know if you would like to be on the ping list. As FreeRepublic is a political site, our politics and other issues will probably blend in…. There are many issues for horsemen that touch politics… land use, animal rights/abuse cases that make the news…. Legislation that might affect horse owners.
So... like the previous threads, this is intended as fun place to come and share stories, pictures, questions and chit-chat, unguided and unmoderated and that we come together here as friends. There are lots of ways of doing things and we all have our quirks, tricks and specialties that are neat to learn about.

No, it is not flooded at my place, I sit at the top of a pretty good hill, up from the creek. If I flooded, well, it would be like Noah’s flood.
About the boat, I don’t know, if I can’t see it because it is totally submerged, or it has moved on down the creek. I’ll have to wait till the water goes down to know.

What time does 24 come on there?
It did rain pretty much all day, but it was a slow steady rain, not real heavy and not fast. So I don’t think that would make much difference.
Last night while we were talking it had stopped, but it started again thru the night and is still raining now.

Oh - just what you need :~\ Wouldn’t it be nice to save up some of this rain and get it later on when everything’s so dry?
It’s nearly summer here, we’re likely to hit 70.
We’re going to leave out of the other, smaller trailhead you’ve been to today.... going to ride to the falls. Hopefully we won’t have too much mud in the low spots, but I want to see it. We haven’t been there yet this year, I want to see what the storm damage in that area was.

Oh great you had a nice ride and it sure does look like a nice day! The shoes are working out for Bay and that is so cool!
The new shoes are great, he just felt good today. I think he’s ready to go further next time. He was dry when we got back. Next time, we’ll do our favorite 8 mile loop.
I love that show. :-) It’s a funny one tonight. Well not funny, but funny. He does something to Wilson that he shouldn’t have.
I watch it under protest. I don’t like it:’)
